  1. Do we want that energy out west to take its time ejecting east? So...confluence/cold presses south a little quicker while the energy holds back a bit more = more precip arriving later as the cold air has had more time to press down?
  2. So I guess the GEFS likes the idea of an ice storm. Interesting, but meh.
  3. Damn...now I want to make chili. My chili is more of a stew, and I like to steer clear of adding too many beans (I throw in black beans in mine). Very different than the kidney bean and ground beef chili that I grew up with and which my wife makes (which is damn good in itself!). I may have to do that later this week...

  5. In this kind of setup, are we looking for the confluence to press a bit more and for the heights to decrease? I also assume we'd like to see that shortwave hold back a bit longer to allow the cold air to press before the energy ejects.
  6. Alright folks…Maestro’s math doesn’t add up, so let’s all just stop talking about it.
  7. But have you really picked up that much? It’s been snowing for at least five hours now and I only have 0.5”.
  8. This is awesome in Burke!111!1 Wait…like 0.5” if I’m lucky.
  9. Congrats Boston. Who cares about Boston? F*ck Boston.
  10. I appreciate your positivity, but the radar is making it plain as day that the coastal is taking over and the precip will be shutting off from west to east soon. It’s OK. This isn’t our storm. It’s OK to let it go.
  11. Doesn’t look like I’ll make my 0.7” call from a few days ago.
  12. I pick up Sapwood beers from DTC from time to time. Would love to make it up there for a few beers on tap, but it's a bit of a hike for me.
  13. That's how I feel when MN Transplant posts snips of the correlation coefficient during storms that are threatening a flip to sleet/rain. It's simply the worst.
  14. Actually snowing decently in Burke now. Grass and cars are starting to whiten up.
  15. I just saw literally one flake drop from the sky outside my office window.
  16. Decided to end Drynuary tonight...for no other reason than I just want a bourbon followed by an IPA. Probably going with a Blanton's to start, followed by one of the Other Half beers I got from a release at DTC a couple weeks ago in preparation for this day. Might get on it pretty good for the US-Canada World Cup Qualifier on Sunday afternoon!
