  1. Drives me nuts. I've been on other boards that block any and all mention of - and content from - folks you put on ignore.
  2. Totally agreed. My ignore list is full from the years of being around here, and I may very well be on others' ignore lists since I generally fun around.
  3. Not only that, but it doesn't destroy Boston in any way.
  4. Agreed. Snow is falling off the trees now, but to have such a post card-ish wintry scene for so long here is pretty remarkable.
  5. With decent ratios, I'm OK with this.
  6. Op GFS has a ridiculously negative AO/NAO in the period around the 20th, and the GEFS height anomalies are impressive for 300 hours out.
  7. Has he recovered from his quality call for Monday?
  8. Someone explained this to you yesterday. This is a snow depth change map, not a snowfall map. We're losing snow to melt in the next 36 hours, so any snow that falls on Thursday night is starting from a snow depth deficit.
  9. I recorded 1.5" of "snow on snow" with this, as well. Had 10" from the January 12-13 storm.
  10. Most important RGEM run of the last three days incoming!
  11. It also runs the low over Richmond and then to Ocean City, MD, unlike most other models that keep the low farther south.
  12. Are we back on after the 3km NAM?
  13. HRRR causing storm cancels. This f'ing place...
  14. Just joking (kind of)... I don't think we should expect kids to engage in remote learning on occasional snow days. Let kids enjoy the snow, FFS. They're kids! You could argue that we can ask kids to do so if there are extended periods of being out of school, but the county has inclement weather days baked in, so they're using them. And not only, that, but with COVID surging everywhere right after the holidays, using inclement weather as an excuse to keep kids out of school makes a difficult political decision a lot easier to sell. I'd have been fine if my third-grader were required to do remote learning today, but the school system chose not to do that. I understand that it makes things very difficult for some families who rely on the school system to essentially provide child care, but my family is lucky not to be n that situation, so I'm not horribly opposed to the decisions they've made at this point.
  15. That’s a pretty damn cold look. If we can score a little snow as that settles in, then even it stays dry, we could have a couple weeks of a really wintry feel.
  16. I'd be really happy with a few inches after yesterday. I didn't have a chance to get out and enjoy it much yesterday, so some cold powder on top of yesterday's snowfall on a cold Friday in early January would be awesome!
  17. Your trees are all dead. As Eric Clapton said: Let it snain!
  18. Haven't heard you poo-poo anything recently, so I'm surprised to hear this from you.
