    Local CoCoRaHs were all right around 1.35" for yesterday. Definitely dumped at times. Interesting and all, but man...does that kind of weather suck.

    @WxUSAF...fantastic post above, and not just because it shows how we could slip into potentially solid setup. It's still so early. We just need to be patient and see where we go over the next couple weeks. I'm feeling pretty good about the potential in December into January. If things line up in our favor for 4-5 weeks, let's take advantage of it and let the rest of the winter play out.

    You may have read that wrong. The game is live at 2:00pm EST (10:00 pm in Qatar). During the peak of the tournament during the group stage, the games start at 5:00am EST - 8:00am EST - 11:00am EST - 2:00am EST. All of our group games start at 2:00 pm EST. If we make it through the group (top two advance), our first knockout game would be at 10:00am EST on Saturday 12/4 or 2:00pm EST on Sunday 12/5, depending on where we finish in the group.

    I don't really have a good place to do that or else I would. When you have 0.2 acres, 50% of which is taken up by the house's footprint, you don't have much room left! Agreed, though, that it would be good to leave some of them.

    So much fun. We trended from being fringed to what...7-8" of frigid powder during a weekend daytime storm? That's outrageous.

    I have a decent pile of leaves against one of our fences in the backyard. I'll probably pick them up this weekend and mow to mulch. Then I'll probably do one more quick mulch mow in the first week of December to catch any stragglers blowing from neighbors' yards.

    Pulled the tomato plants yesterday in advance of last night's freeze. Harvested about 8 lbs of tomatoes, maybe 1/3 of which had no blush of color at all. Definitely the best harvest of the season. In their place, I planted 15 cloves of locally grown Music garlic. I've had decent luck with Music in the past, but I've generally bought seed garlic online every other year or two, so it' not locally grown except for when I use my own bulbs as seed. Hoping that the local nature of this stuff will lead to slight more robust growth next spring than normal. Either way...can't be worse than this year's crop , which was almost a complete bust.

    31 at 7:00 when I checked the local weather station in my neck of Burke. Wouldn't be surprised if it was 30...maybe 29 just before sunrise.

    As I've said before, I'm getting a little annoyed by this look now . If this were just 2-3 weeks later (a month would be even better), we'd be all over it. I just don't want this to have happened just too early in the season, so hopefully we can have this look reload as we get into December proper.
