  1. I love when we get those feathery-looking radar returns that build from Charlottesville and push north. We usually do well with that <knock on wood>.
  2. Dendrites kicking in Burke once again. These fatties accumulate so fast. Absolutely love ULL action!
  3. This band dropped about an inch in an hour in Burke.
  4. Or you would become one of the lost, drunken men...
  5. Citra/Galaxy NEIPA made with Golden Promise and Oats. Calling it Rough and Toothless. Its Galaxy/Citra counterpart will be Tough and Ruthless. A growler to whoever gets the reference...
  6. Thermal mass of snow is really low. When you’ve got 6 gallons or so of boiling liquid to cool, the snow doesn’t stand a chance.
  7. @nw baltimore wx Supposed to brew today - first time in ages. Only thing stopping me is figuring out if I’m going to use the hose-to-coil chiller to cool the wort. That’s the only thing g that sucks about this storm.
  8. Haven’t measured since a little after 7 am, but I had 5.75” as of then and have definitely gotten up to 6” total since. I’m in Burke, by the way.
  9. Snowing lightly in Burke with similarly light returns. Looking juicy to our south and southwest.
  10. Wish it stopped at 66. I’d be a few miles into decent returns.
  11. Been outside picking up leaves here in Burke for the last couple hours. Stray flurries since 3:25. Painful:
  12. OK...10%? Let’s be honest...most of the major contributors and year-round folks are from the Baltimore and DC metro areas. Not sure how anyone can argue against that. But don’t mind me...I’m just being a wiseacre, not a curmudgeon as @WxWatcher007 claims. He’s just bitter he had to move away, so now he’s telling lies and trying to badmouth the rest of us.
  13. I’m going to follow this thread all day because 5% of the subforum’s posters will be getting snow tomorrow. #luvuguys
  14. It’s unreal how close this was to a big hit for the majority of our subforum members. Really just a timing issue - just a tick faster or slower here or there and we’re in the goods. I pretty much discount the November snow because it was such an anomaly, so this would have been a great “real” start to the season.
  15. Forecasters will bust from time to time because it’s part of the territory. Thing is...with him it’s kind of funny to see happen because of his personality.
