  1. Burke split will happen this morning. It will. I'll take anything right now, but I'm playing in a golf tournament next Monday - first time out in a year - and I'll be a little pissed if it rains on that very specific day.
  2. It’s never going to rain again, is it?
  3. They’ll get theirs. We won’t get ours.
  4. Not bad. Always takes time getting used to changes on forums, but I really don’t mind this at all. Just glad to have it back!
  5. With a nice little rainfall a few days earlier. Unprecedented stuff.
  6. It's annoying me because they keep falling on my late-planted fall garden. I have to keep plucking them off the seedlings so the seedlings don't get smooshed.
  7. The place is huge. The only issue is how noisy it can get, but otherwise it's a great spot. So much easier for me to get there for releases than their place in Herndon, too. I have two bottles of Silk due to having two VIP tickets for their 4th anniversary party a few weeks ago. Really looking forward to trying them. There are mixed reviews, but I think people have a preconceived notion that a stout with curry spices in it will be strange. Good friend of mine said it's one of the best Aslin beers he's had...and we've had probably 90% of what they've ever produced. I might have a sample this weekend at the brewery. Their stouts generally don't drink as big as their ABV. A lot of folks (me included) have questioned the ABV of those beers (maybe they give them a little too much "credit"), but there's mistaking that they do stouts incredibly well.
  8. Nice! Never had that, but heard good things. Heading to Aslin tomorrow to grab a couple bottles of a new BA stout and one each of BA barleywines. Might be a nightmare getting them, though. I've got plenty of big boys in my cellar and fridge, so I may have to start chilling some for next weekend. In the meantime, I have cans and cans of IPAs and an IPA on tap that I need to plow through.
  9. Really surprised the Birds pulled that off. Hell of a goal line stand, but that's what happens when your defense shuts down the run and forces the offense to throw on four downs at the goal line.
  10. Thanks for addressing this. Frankly, that was a disingenuous post by yoda...and I don’t think he’s unaware of that.
  11. Good of them to ignore guidance.
  12. Can't wait for next weekend's cool weather so I can settle in and enjoy a big-ass, barrel-aged stout or three...
  13. Seriously. Someone needs to check WxUSAF's head.
  14. So take some darts and throw them at a dart board with various winter outcomes pinned to it. You'll (maybe) eventually hit one that you like...and it will mean basically as much as any forecasts put out there at this point. Fun discussion points, but not really worth much more than that, in my opinion.
  15. It’s basically an Indian Ocean ENSO, and the positive phase tends to correlate to positive ENSO.
  16. Last few runs o fthe GFS have backed off some really hot looks middle to late next week and are bringing in much cooler air Thursday into Friday - keeping it around for the remainder of the run. Today's 6z even wants to bless us with some rain next Thursday/Friday as energy dives down with cool air behind it.
  17. Every year, my guesses end up being far too early in the season, so I'm going to push it out a little this go-round... BWI: 11/15 IAD: 11/15 DCA: 12/2 RIC: 12/1 Tiebreaker: 9.2"
  18. Only 50 here in Burke. Not too bad, I guess. We’re enough removed from more populated areas to lose most UHI effects, and we have lots of forested areas immediately surrounding us, but we’re not the best at radiating.
  19. I’m assuming no unicorns will pop on the long-range globals by the end of this month. Maybe next year.
  20. All your base are belong to us?
