  1. If I blew my wad on a pivot and convergence band in mid October, I’m going to be pissed.
  2. This would be one to remember for a long time in my neck of the woods (Burke). It just doesn’t want to shut off.
  3. What a day to drink a phenomenal (and major distro) barrel-aged stout: Bell’s BA Expedition.
  4. Exactly what I was referring to above. It’s not unusual at all for us to finish this way in the good storms. The problem is that our good storms are so few and far between...
  5. Couldn’t agree any harder. We’ve also got the typical “finishing strong” thing going on with a bit of a pivot and a band sticking around well after the main precipitation is gone.
  6. NAM as the model of choice for this winter. Got it.
  7. Just assume the NAM is wrong if it’s on an island more than 6 hours out...and even then I wouldn’t trust it.
  8. The familiar sight of brewing gear...
  9. All about the bottom line. F the idea of shooting for being the best you can be at your craft.
  10. @C.A.P.E. and @nw baltimore wx... Stop talking about beer! You’re making me jealous as I walk to a 4-year-old’s birthday party (after having pregamed by pounding an Aslin Double Scampi...which really isn’t very good).
  11. I've felt this way for a long time. It makes no sense that it's being calculated that way now, but perhaps there's an unwillingness to change given that's the way it's always been done(?).
  12. We'd be freaking out about this trend in another two months. It would be like the late-January 2010 event that we "willed" north over the course of a few days.
  13. Doesn't help that there was wind and clouds to keep the temp up overnight. And most people don't give a flying F about nighttime temps - we know what it feels like during the day, and yesterday was definitely cool.
  14. I may be mistaken, but I feel like that hasn't been the case the last couple years...that Richmond's first freeze was near the same time as DC's.
  15. Taking the over for 90% of the mentioned areas.
  16. Looks like the rain is easing up just in time for my walk to the VRE. Love it.
  17. Love seeing the multiple coastals setting up on the mid- and long-ranges. Really impressive pattern change - like a switch flipped and off we go!
  18. If you're referring to the one for this coming Sunday, then that has trended quite a bit NW and stronger over the last few runs.
  19. BTW...I can see the back edge.
  20. Pretty good rates if you picked that up in an hour or so.
  21. I'm one of the idiots who can't help but draw a direct line between very early snow and crap winters, but F it...I'd love to see a heavy, wet snow around Halloween. I'd be curious to see how a few of the massive trees in my neighbors' yards would handle that while they still have leaves on them.
