  1. That sounds awful. 9:30 is just too much. And it sounds like what some of the volunteers went through in our final B meet. I didn't realize how intense the summer swim season could be until this year. Practice every morning (which is another practice on top of year-round swim for some kids); meets on Saturday morning, then on and Monday evening; a couple Wednesday-evening meets near the end of the season; then finishing up with Divisionals (and All-Stars). It's a LOT to cram into a less than two months, and by the end the kids and parents are both worn out.
  2. With folks venturing out a bit more and many not masking up, there are plenty of colds going around, too.
  3. No more B meets for us. We start the season with a B meet and end with an A meet. We host divisionals this Saturday, which is going to be a show. I'm taking the day off on Friday to watch the girls while the wife gets ready for concessions...
  4. Wow...doesn't feel at all close to 90 here.
  5. Haven't seen that much of the sun today, but when it does pop out it's quite filtered.
  6. Given that we so rarely have extreme weather conditions around here, we should just rename the Drought thread the "Dryness" thread and change the Severe thread to a "General Thunderstorms" thread. It would stop me from trolling the Drought thread, at least.
  7. Not surprised at all. Went to a Dave Matthews concert there about 9-10 years ago. When we pulled up, a “projectile” hit the cab window right by my right ear. Saw the residue and everything.
  8. Haven’t gotten shite here. Looking like a few showers may wet the grass this evening.
  9. I’ve never been as disinterested in an upcoming winter as I am at this point. I took a break from weather altogether last year due to just being worn out by the pandemic, but I think this year takes the cake in regards to just not caring about a pending winter.
  10. How’d it work out for you?
  11. 0.00” for the day. I’ve had a bit more rain than many others recently, so I should’t complain, but the interwebs are for bitching and bragging, so here we are.
  12. This “severe day” sucks.
  13. I’m with you, young lad.
  14. Decided to water the landscaping and garden…
  15. I’m really not liking the look of the split happening just to the NE of Culpeper.
  16. I'm all in on the cell the 3km NAM drops on MBY this evening.
  17. I was thinking the same as George BM above - that it might crumble as the first line blew up and robbed the trailing line of energy.
  18. It blew up nicely just south of here - decent thunder and a sprinkle - but that other line looks good.
  19. Looks like it might slide south, but that second line looks to be extending south. I'm in for that.
  20. Not looking bad for Burke to get the tip of that finger.
  21. I actually like doing trainings, but I'm married to a woman who knows her sh*t in and out but still freaks out when she has to present/train, so I can imagine what you're feeling already. You'll be fine! But at least you're "laughing" about it now!
  22. I always enjoy 75F on Thanksgiving, though. I mean...I'm usually in South Carolina then, so it's not that much of a stretch.
