  1. Yup…they’re playing at Allianz Field. It’s a bit of a gamble since it could be unreal cold that time of year, but if it’s seasonable then it’ll just be cold.
  2. I don’t think anyone has mentioned this, but the US is playing three World Cup qualifiers in the late-Jan to early-Feb window. The locations: Columbus, OH (El Salvador) Hamilton, ON (Canada) St. Paul, MN (Honduras) It could be pretty bad in all three places, but that Minnesota game could be especially brutal!
  3. Mid-30s all around me. It’s weird though - I see lots of 40s everywhere up in MD and PA, but 30s down through Richmond and beyond.
  4. We should schedule post-fail calls. We'll all be best buds within a couple weeks.
  5. Thanks for putting the work in on this, psu!
  6. For fear of going full @WinterWxLuvr, I'm at least heartened by seeing precip approach from the SW in the medium range. It might not be cold, but I'd rather not have to rely on scraps from systems coming out of the Upper Midwest. If we can keep getting moisture coming in from the SW, at some point we *have* to have some cold air for it to fall into. Right? RIGHT?!?!
  7. Snow along and ahead of a frontal passage when temps are around 60 leading into it? Yeah...that's a cakewalk.
  8. My notes say I got 1.5" here in Burke and that we were progged to get smacked about a week out until everything shifted 100 miles north and a little west a few days before gametime.
  9. Much farther south though, no? I'm definitely not familiar with the area.
  10. Getting all worked up about whether or not we'll see decent snow over the next three months is just dumb.
  11. Because maybaaaaaaayyyy... The MJO is gonna save maaaaaayyyyyyy
  12. Personally, I'm more of a Noel, but I was about the only person I knew of who was big into Oasis and other "Britpop" stuff, thus the moniker!
  13. A couple rounds of very light graupel in Burke this morning, but enough to whiten cars, decks, and roofs. First flakes that I've seen this year.
  14. By the way...I was known as "The Oasis Guy" in college.
  15. And all the snow that fell to ground was blinding...
  16. I’m a Spurs fan, so I’m not unhappy that this match was postponed. It would have been more akin to a rugby match than soccer, which absolutely would have played into Burnley’s hands.
  17. Let’s be honest…you’re just way TF west, rather than north.
  18. If we ended up with 20-30” region-wide by early January, I’d honestly be OK with punting the rest of the season.
  19. 64 and sunny with a little bit of wind here in HHI. Kids hit the beach and decided to go for a swim. I teed off at 7:50 am this morning. Was a little drizzly, but it cleared up nicely and hit about 62 degrees by the time we finished at 11:40.
  20. The consumer has come to expect the store to be open. That expectation leads to false day-of demand because the store being open allows the consumer to be lazy and not plan ahead. Edit: I don't have an issue with grocery stores being open, say, in the morning, but anything beyond that is just silly.
  21. Trailing waves always work out for us, so I’m sure we’d all be quite confident going into it.
  22. Messy and volatile was my Saturday night college wheelhouse (and Friday and Thursday…and maybe Wednesday nights).
  23. Here’s the thing…Target absolutely doesn’t *need* to be open on Thanksgiving. But because other brick-and-mortar stores are open, they’re afraid they’ll lose sales to those other stores on that day and not be able to make them up afterwards. If everyone were closed it wouldn’t make a lick of difference.
