Yeah unfortunately that happens sometimes on flatter solutions. Yeah it gives the southern peeps more snow but it also makes the system more paltry as a whole.
-
Yeah. I’ll be surprised if he’s useless when he retires though. He’s reached some sort of level where his cognitive game is so high that he’d have to lose it completely from a physical standpoint. Injury is obviously always a possibility. I agree though that you like to see these guys go out on top. Like an Elway, Phelps, or a David Ortiz if we’re being Chowderhead-centric here.

Everyone said that after the Atlanta comeback when he won his 5th. He’s coming back. He is one of these dudes who literally loves playing football including the tedious shit like mini-camps...the type of stuff that guys like Brett Favre skipped at the end of their career because nobody likes them. But Brady actually enjoys it and has this really unique competitive edge that makes him not want to be caught by anyone. As a Cowboys fan, it reminds me of the way Emmitt Smith was from a mental perspective on how they approach the game.

Was checking out some soundings tonight, this doesn’t look overly impressive for cross-hair sigs, but maybe that changes. I’d prob go 1-3/2-4 for most of SNE.
-
And he’s barely lost anything. Nevermind looking at his pure stats which is enough as it is, but did you see that utter laser he thew to Gronk for the 2nd TD? Dudes like Roethlisberger or Brees couldn’t make that throw these days and they are obviously younger than Brady.
-
As someone who has lived much of my life in New England but became a Cowboys fan in the late 80s during my brief time living there and don’t particularly like the Patriots but don’t despise them either like local Jets or Giants fans here, I feel like I have a relatively neutral perspective of Brady. The dude is ridiculous. We’re never going to see this again in our lifetimes.

Calling it 7.3 in Holliston. Really nice event. Falling on top of a double digit high-water content pack makes it look like even more.
-
Just under 7” here now. Won’t make 8 but cannot complain about a warning event. Just barely snuck into the northern edge of that death band earlier which prob got me a couple to 3 extra inches.
-
Crush job right now near canal Still some moderate to heavy bands over E MA/RI with a final heavier band near ORH into Windham county
-
SE MA still getting crushed but the end is now starting to show up. We’re still getting moderate to heavy here too but not like earlier.

Yes I know exactly what you mean. It’s wet enough to make snowballs but there’s still some air in there because of the snow growth.
-
Lol Euro is prob going to be too light on QPF too for a chunk of CT and MA but not nearly as bad as the clown maps might imply. When you have 20 to 1 ratio verifying, a 10 to 1 clown map will look terrible even when the QPF is right.
-
Not to nitpick but that isn’t the “euro snow forecast”. It’s an algorithm from a vendor taking the Euro QPF and making it into a clown map. Best verification will be to look at the liquid equivalents when we’re done.

Just under 6” here. Pure blower powder. We’re solidly northwest of the death band now but the snow growth is still pretty good under this 25dbz stuff...just not the absolute pristine snow growth that was in the band. Hoping to finish with around 8” if we can grab a couple over the next 3-4 hours.

They are usually even worse up in ORH county. For years when I forecasted full time, I always had to slice anywhere from 4-8F off model 2m temps (and sometimes more in the correct setup) during winter wx events.
-
Glad to see weathertap finally updated their local radar zooms. Now we just need to wait another 30 minutes for a useful loop.
-
Yeah...the key is buying it though. So did we believe the 3km NAM? Most of us prob thought it was too zonked. It prob will still verify as too zonked since it was giving ORH like 0.75 of qpf. I knew the ratios would be good in the band but the question was how high would they be just outside the band and where would the band line up? It’s really hard to forecast based on high ratios. I’ve been burned before on that. But either way, I figured this would be a really fun nowcast event. Hasn’t disappointed. We’re getting smoked here and we’re not even in the heart of the band.
-
Nobody had 20 to 1 ratios either. I guarantee a lot of people will have ratios close to that number.
-
No I’m in Holliston. I frequently report from winter hill but not right now. We’ve been getting on the northern fringe of that death band here at times but I’m guessing someone like 5-10 miles southeast has 5-6” by now. Prob near Walpole and Medway.
-
Man, that band in Norfolk county right now. I’m on the northern edge of it and absolutely ripping again but it must be 3” per hour stuff in the heart of it.
-
Back into the edge of “the band” after being outside for about half an hour. Flake size has drastically increased again. Breached 3”
