  1. Canadian looks colder through 84. Hopefully we can get the GFS to be the odd one out compared to the ICON, GEM and Euro. Would make me feel a lot better.
  2. If verified, don't think anyone in the subforum would have less than 3 inches (S/SW of ocean city). Usual caveats with 10:1 maps. When's the last time everyone was able to walk away with something like that, no fringing? But let's wait and see what the more well regarded models have to say shortly.
  3. Icon has always seemed to hate snow so that's something
  4. We want a quicker transfer if we want to get the best of both lows, right?
  5. The fact that the euro looks that good a week out has me worried lol. Can’t shake the feeling that it’s unlikely to be dead right this far out and the adjustments are usually rough for us. I’ll feel more confident if it still looks like that come Thursday 12z. But really good run nonetheless.
  6. The models have all been bouncing around some sort of system on the 24th/25th/26th. CMC probably the closest to what we'd want so far. Needs a stronger/better placed 50/50 low and more blocking, though. The high as shown would probably disappoint us in the same ways the high with yesterday's storm did.
  7. Greetings from the Mid-Atlantic forum, anyone got a total for Bryn Mawr/Villanova?
  8. Sleet getting fairly intense by the park. Wish snow had held on longer, bet the rates would have been great.
  9. Change to sleet complete at Patterson Park. Measure 2 inches on my car and a bit more on the doorstep. Let's see if we get anything on the back end, fingers crossed.
  10. Think the snow is on its last legs in by Patterson, flakes are smaller and I occasionally hear some impacts on the windows.
  11. Patterson Park's been covered enough that the sleds are starting to come out in force. Still snowing here, big flakes, expecting change though.
  12. Not there, but I think we're starting to get some of that here in Baltimore and the rates definitely seem better. Some fatties for sure.
  13. For those still paying attention, HRRR at 17z looks marginally better for the I95 (except for DC... about the same there).
  14. The hardest snow yet by Patterson Park is starting to stick to the roads; paths inside the park are almost totally white.
  15. Baltimore flakes by Patterson Park just got huge 31 degrees.
  16. Still snowing in Baltimore. Cars getting covered, grass getting whiter. Rates are better than an hour or so ago by a bit, holding steady, hopefully can pick up before the changeover. Might be able to get Patterson Park's grass fully covered; that's at least my hope.
  17. Snowing in Baltimore, around Patterson Park, more than a flurry but not heavy yet. Think it's time for me to go pick up my family's gifts at the post office and experience it while it's here
  18. Love how it loads up a second storm 2 days later, which also misses for the most part lol.
  19. I'll say it so no one else has to: "With a path like that, the trend will be in our favor" You can update your bingo cards!
  20. Only dropping it in for the fun of it! The mean is of course what we should be looking at. Though some features are maybe easier to see in something like the max, like the frederick jackpot. There's already some better snowfall there in the mean to hint at better rates there but the max really highlights that at least one of the models in the blend likes that area. For what it's worth, the 00z run ALSO pegged northern Frederick for good totals through 00z Thursday, which is why I'm keen to see how that verifies. It's visible on both the mean and max.
  21. And the weenie version of the same map... I'm gonna pay attention to Frederick's totals to see if the HREF is picking up on the jackpot. No grades will be given but it will be fun to check.
  22. Here's what the HREF ensemble spits out through 12z Thursday.
  23. HRRR, HRRR 6h, HRW ARW, HRW ARW 12h, HRW NMMB, HRW NMMB 12h, HRW NSSL, HRW NSSL 12h, NAM CONUS Nest, NAM CONUS Nest 12h SPC HREF Ensemble Viewer - 500 mb wind/height, ens mean (noaa.gov) They've got a surprisingly good interface imo. At least compared to some other .gov sites lol.
