  1. With January flying by, winter will soon be quickly winding down as we head through February. Often a prolific snow month, wintry and white may be in the cards, but LR models/seasonal forecasts have been quite mild if not torchy (which can work for NNE, especially). Let's discuss the end of winter!
  2. are you saying we just don't know yet?
  3. days and days... until it's inside D10
  4. 6-12" is considered major/historic according to late 1980's/early 1990's. Speaking for SNE/CNE
  5. no one knows what will happen. Maybe they do, or do not. Let's see what the future holds, it may surprise some.
  6. the "look" blows, no offense. I guess if you want overrunning precip and qpf just to fight droughts it works
  7. anyway, onto positive vibes; who's firing up that February thread?
  8. I am not confident, but if it happens let's let it happen soon and not April/May
  9. Plenty of anticipation, ambitions for the back half of winter. swfe is my least-favorite winter "storm" event mode, but we'll remain upbeat and optimistic
  10. February thread! Yeah we mentioned that last week
  11. Nearing the halfway mark of winter! wow
  12. +3.2" for 5.2" season. I moved 1.5 mi. NW around .5 mile from 495/route 3, but will use same snow total.
  13. we don't know but this next one could be THE one. Or it won't? We just don't know. So I'll check back in 5 days when we know, or don't, if no one knows
  14. It's like the 80s early 90s again. I'm old and do vividly remember when SE MA 3-6" to slop/rains we considered really good events, esp. if there was a swiss cheese pack leftover. Looks like we're back to those realistic expectations
