  1. Growing up, we had plenty of gigantic pines like that in a new-development neighborhood. Not sure why the developers left them in, but Gloria took care of more than a few Crashing into homes
  2. capturing now but not sure i'll have time to edit tonight, may take an hour or two
  3. Yeah I'd be a bit surprised at mid-20's now but 20 seems doable, with a strong finish plus a few throwaways later this fall.
  4. Yeah I agree, wish we could FF to Dec 24th
  5. Not a "huge deal" as not atypical for August, but if not washed out sooner than later it'll definitely put a damper on any big #'s
  6. Days getting longer soon......~four months away!
  7. that and '05 were my favorite Decembers, both had absolute whoppers but otherwise fairly tame
  8. Dec. 03 wasn't amazing but the anomaly was a very nice snowstorm, underrated one
  9. Found my VHS player and VHS. Assuming my capture card does its job and the VHS tape isn't too far gone, should have a Bob video soon.
  10. Around 1/4 mi. from where the roof was blown off the hotel in E. Fal, walking distance to our house, there was a property abutting Green Pond that lost nearly every tree, must have been 30 or 50 at least. But the neighbors only lost a few trees. Was wild
  11. someday I'll upload the VHS home vid I have, damage was close to remarkable in FMH. You could see where there were microbursts and even probably a few spin-ups, because there would be dozens if not hundreds of trees knocked over in tight areas.
  12. Yeah I agree, westerles win minus the sandy/38 type full capture
  13. Yeah echoes did develop north a bit, I see it. hopefully between bands you'll catch a break.
  14. I'm not saying it isn't heavy rain but the best echoes look well south. We're looking at OKX right? lol
  15. I don't see it, just a little cell popped on the CT shore but that seems well south of the flooded areas
  16. Yeah we know Bob missed most of SNE, like I said 30mi. west would have been a huge I-95 hit
  17. Remember the mostly "dry Sunday" in the forecast
  18. Regardless of specific location, Bob was worse since it was a more organized TC at landfall with a larger area of max winds. Gloria was on the down and out rapidly weakening prior to landfall, however Bob had just peaked 6-12 hours earlier and was slowly eroding at LF. Gloria's max wind area, say 85kt+, was tiny and confined to a small sliver of LI, compared to Bobs which enveloped all CC/Islands plus areas like EWB, PYM
  19. Bob's worst was worse than Gloria and over a larger area. I saw easily 100mph winds, maybe 115 peak and a large area saw the same. However, no one really cares about far SE MA/Cape Cod. Had Bob been even 30mi west it would have easily dwarfed that pos gloria
  20. Bob was 10x more exciting than that worthless Gloria
