  1. Yesterday AM was in Sterling MA, parked next to and walked over a underground yellowjacket nest. Only saw them because the direct sun on the hole and their wings were glimmering. It was 45F or so and the nest was as busy as LAX, like 3-4 in/out per second. No idea why they didn't swarm or sting besides them being cold/less aggressive? Anyway yawntober continues, hopefully a few killer cutters soon.
  2. we had some rains/drizzle/backdoory garbage here in ENE, stein was quelled to a degree
  3. Light frost in tewksbuty ma this am.
  4. Oct 16 2009? had 1-2"snow at elevation in SNH
  5. Nice view. snow looks to be around 4.5-5k+ feet
  6. was referring to C NH where I had lived but the dumb troll had to make that comment. Waking up in early October, look out the window at 3k peaks on the southern end of the Whites and seeing white at the tops. But whatever makes people feel better
  7. Yeah ET transition began long long ago, but it's mid-October so not unexpected
  8. Hopefully an 18-36" banger mixed in over the years. Otherwise it is rage-quit-the-hobby vibes
  9. Yeah it's a big hit, no doubt about that.
  10. I remember living in central NH and 2-4k peaks were white by early-mid October :/
  11. Looks like crap. Surge will be big, and the tors/svr is wild. However wind threat (esp. inland) looks diminished quite a bit besides gw or microbursty instances.
  12. Yeah halfacane looks like a dud. Glorified Gloria
  13. It's definitely a super rare system, moving east- west! and now "most likely" near or Cat 5 again, with another period of intensification likely.
  14. LR gfs is pretty grim for Florida, that'd actually be an insane evolution.
