  1. A Novie thread may be necessary, as there will probably be some near record-breaking stuff popping (=
  2. No trolling, this is somewhat unusual autumn. We do have a mild-down coming late week, fall-like- but then it's torchy Looking ahead... Trough dominance looks to be rather short lived with ridging building in by mid next week. CPC has also noted the "return of the ridge" with the 8-14 day outlook heavily favoring above normal temps and below normal precipitation. It`s quite possible temps in the 70s return to round out the month; could we see the 70s persist into November? It`s too early to nail down specifics, but those planning on Trick or Treating will certainly want to check back before Halloween to see how many layers they may, or may not, need to wear to head out on the town!
  3. At torch spots, sure. Mostly 60's-70's fare though
  4. From what I remember, the recluse/black widows that make it over here are generally stowaways in cargo, etc.
  5. 80F Helloween, sweaty kids toilet papering trees, older folks taking 'em down and re-using?
  6. We'll see. I'd prefer save it for Turkey day/XMas but let's go
  7. Yeah let's keep that vibe going! I mean like S CT to Cape Cod though, no freezes through X-Mas!
  8. Looks like 60's-70's Torchoween. What a run, hopefully this continues into Thanksgiving especially S/E NE. No hard freezes, keep those spiders/jackets going!
  9. Yesterday AM was in Sterling MA, parked next to and walked over a underground yellowjacket nest. Only saw them because the direct sun on the hole and their wings were glimmering. It was 45F or so and the nest was as busy as LAX, like 3-4 in/out per second. No idea why they didn't swarm or sting besides them being cold/less aggressive? Anyway yawntober continues, hopefully a few killer cutters soon.
  10. we had some rains/drizzle/backdoory garbage here in ENE, stein was quelled to a degree
  11. Light frost in tewksbuty ma this am.
  12. Oct 16 2009? had 1-2"snow at elevation in SNH
  13. Nice view. snow looks to be around 4.5-5k+ feet
  14. was referring to C NH where I had lived but the dumb troll had to make that comment. Waking up in early October, look out the window at 3k peaks on the southern end of the Whites and seeing white at the tops. But whatever makes people feel better
  15. Yeah ET transition began long long ago, but it's mid-October so not unexpected
