  1. It's coming Thursday and Friday... A pretty strong shortwave trough approaching from the west will combined with upper level ridging across the Atlantic. This may allow for the mid level flow to become meridional for a time. Quite a bit of uncertainty in this time range, but this should result in some showers Thursday into early Friday. If certain mesoscale ingredients come together, such as a period of deep meridional flow interacting with a warm front...pockets of heavy rainfall would be possible.
  2. This is going to be intense. 3rd and 4th window units going up and in to keep pace intensity
  3. yeah it'll verify hotter and more muggy, good point
  4. Yikes that 0z gfs was warm to scolding hot at times with a few days of drenching dews.
  5. The best weekend ever? Saturday and Sunday... Beautiful weekend in store for southern New England with lots of sun, low humidity, and light winds. Surface high pressure in control under mid level ridging and associated subsidence will keep rain away and high temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s. Seabreezes should keep the immediate coast cooler. Lows dip into the 50s and even upper 40s Saturday night, a bit warmer Sunday night. Trended toward cooler MOS guidance given good radiational cooling setup.
  6. Sorry but the real hot temps don't arrive until the middle and latter part of mid-summer. Early summer=mid April-early June. Mid-summer=early June-late July. Late summer=late July-early October. Then it's winter
  7. Another day another dew, then we dry down for a very warm,Coc outdoorsy weekend. This is what we all wanted and it's here to stay...mid-summer
  8. Increase in lightning, positive strikes too
  9. Thunderstorm with torrential rain
  10. be safe all, looks like a few light showers with a distant flash of barely visible lightning coming in.
  11. The mesos were bringing in some convection from the S coast/LI from almost N to S in elements. Wonder if those cells near NJ/NY is the beginning of that with the llj
  12. That's a question better suited for others. I use a FARS and also a siting that avoids too much radiation. The solar input is mostly early in the day. Not sure of the latest and greatest with the tech stuff anymore, but the fars (in working order heh) improves accuracy to some end.
  13. Yeah it's on my to-dew list, hopefully the server will be back up and ready this winter.
  14. On a lighter and positive note, 81.6F on my Davis Edit rocketed up to 81.9
  15. Yeah that was earlier this summer, several weeks ago.

  17. 80F, can't remember what 70 feels like.
