  1. Sandy, Floyd, Edouard, Irene, Bertha etc....we have (largely) dodged bullets since Bob. More luck than anything
  2. The Great Torch of 2012 is an honorable mention, though not a single event.
  3. "Past practice" says the EC in general should watch that one.
  4. Interesting, my 2nd uncle was Superintendent at West Point long ago.
  5. I don't remember the '89 one, was on Cape Cod. However August 1992 in Falmouth MA, around the 12th? was pretty good. Lots of hail and lightning strikes for several hours. Wind damage, flooding. Top 20 for me in SNE, especially on that broken wx island.
  6. MHT/CON and the higher hills surrounding were rocked. There are very few trees older than the 38 hurricane in the hills.
  7. Catastrophic stuff for some areas, at least very damaging.
  8. Somewhere I have a picture book from the early 1940's from New Hampshire, the damage was pretty incredible even up there.
  9. 1938 was vastly worse than Juan and likely Dorian
  10. Let's get the cold and blocky pattern out of the way before winter.
  11. We needed that UL jet way NW for a heavy rain event.
  12. Many there that would shape any wx weenie. For me..Bob, Gloria, June 95, 1993 superstorm, Aug 2000 (I was older but, the first time driving through a nocturnal supercell was pretty scary)
