  1. What a day. 77.6, full sun, fresh breeze.
  2. I personally don't care for MA very much at all, especially Boston to ORH, or the E half. However having said that...:D
  3. You have never heard of peace Democrats aka Copperheads..
  4. it's dry, maybe a dying shower or light storm tomorrow night but that's all we have
  5. Cool temps, gentle showers this evening. Very late summerjsh
  6. big considering we've had almost no wind for 4 months. Maybe 30-35mph here.
  7. Strong winds out there, relatively, even some light damage.
  8. It's pretty high. But like most places you are playing with property taxes (town/city) vs income tax vs etc. Close to NYC in an upper burb, they are very high all around.
  9. NW CT has it's upside. Good severe, elevation and snow. But I'd prefer W MA or S VT
  10. We were talking cities specifically, not states as a whole. But yes I see how that translates to scale. I still stand by my comment. If you go north, MA cities like Lawrence, Brockton, North Adams etc. are probably no better than CT's worst concerning HDI. Could be wrong..
  11. What specifically are we rating? Quality of life, commerce, median income, crime, population growth, life expectancy...? lol Honestly most surrounding states are as bad or worse. MA, NY, NJ. I'll live in any CT city before Camden, Newburgh, Holyoke, etc.
  12. It does have a cold and snow bias. Show me one seasonal wknter forecast by a member here, pro met or otw. on that had/has + temp anomalies and - snow. Not happening
  13. what a summer. If we only had a hurricane impact, this would easily have been a top 5 all-timer. As I said last month, it seems we'll flip to winter around Oct.10th or so. Maybe the 15th. Then we can drop summer hobbies such as weather and focus on enjoyable winter ones.
  14. I got 103k on my last set of Michelin Defenders. But you really have to baby them with proper/pro driving habits, etc. Anyway the Michelin LTX, Defender... and Cooper Adventurer are my pick for basic everyday tires for an SUV. 99% of longevity is on the driver and not the product, though.
  15. It's a near to record-setting inferno and we all are enjoying it
