  1. This is the ultimate torch...up to 63.2 at 11:20. Wow
  2. Temp just jumped up to 60.8...Hi today an incredible 68.2 on the Davis
  3. The best winter ever..reminds me of early November, 1.8 pwats and that taste of summer 130 PM Update... * Record High Temps Smashed Today * Strong Winds Across central and eastern New England Incredible warmth early this afternoon for mid January standards. Temperatures were between 65 and 70 degrees across many locations with partial sunshine. Record highs have already been smashed across the region and a few locations may flirt with all time January record highs. A modest southwest LLJ has been mixing down across the region, given the current warmth in the boundary layer. Therefore, a Wind Advisory has been posted for central and eastern MA/RI into Sunday afternoon. While the winds will diminish some this evening, they will pick backup up toward daybreak with a potent southwest 90 knot LLJ. Therefore, the Wind Advisory has also been issued western MA/northern CT overnight into Sunday for that second pulse, which will discuss more later this afternoon.
  4. Yeah, that 113F would be inviting
  5. Might as well tan and thunder, it's winter
  6. That's a long convective line...like Gary IN to Corpus Christi
  7. One week of nice wx then I go nite-nite. Unbeatable winter weekend
  8. Yeah, many of us drummers had been wondering why Lifeson and Rush called it quits so suddenly. Surely, superhuman NP wouldn't let a little arthritis get in the way. That is just like Neil Peart, though. Very sad.
  9. Nothing messy here, looks amazing.
  10. I know NP claimed to have arthritis issues, similar to Phil Collins for ex., but you have to wonder if he had been battling cancer for a while too. He was a very private person, not sure he'd put that out there. Great drummer and musician. RIP
  11. Everything about this winter has been really good. Burning through 1.5 months of early-midwinter mild and nearly snowless, thunderstorm outbreaks. late Jan and Feb it snows itself out for a few weeks before we blaze into sun angle and baseball talk. No one can complain
  12. Is this part of the trend you were talking about, Orh?
  13. 0z Euro is a succession of storms cutting way, way west
  14. Expecations have increased two-fold since the mid-90's and probably more since 05. My entire childhood we had maybe three decent snowstorms, mostly 1983 which I barely recall. none blockbusters, or biggies like...03, 05, 15, 11, etc...or even 96, 97 etc.
  15. I don't disagree, it'll be interesting to see play out
  16. Verify west, you are talking that progged general trough axis? It seems like we need some blocking to get it done (better than transient)
  17. A lot of "positive" info, but not much talk of what can go wrong, which is what really matters
