  1. Tanuary is toast for anything interesting aside this weekends rainer/nne snower, it's time for someone to start a Debbuary one
  2. you are in a bad "good" spot ...yeah, southern parts of NNE would start to have problems with a more N trend. But it'll all be about lift and banding. It's early to make declarations but I think it's probably a reasonable solution at this point
  3. the great news is that it's a cold, pouring rainer for RIC/DC/Balt, no one need be weenie jealous of the southerners
  4. The gem should be able to handle higher resolutions and/or more frequent cycles
  5. metfan frustrated on the NYC beat this weekend
  6. wow, that really sucks, i can't imagine that feeling. For me 19-20 is ending as perhaps the greatest winter of the century, or most likely making the top 5 barring any more sustained deep winter
  7. 4" Taunton, 12" Franklin, 18" Marlborough 495 gradient iirc. Brutal inside of I95
  8. On average....but it's unlikely this winter, at least for some areas. Wouldn't rule it out either.
  9. Being a more "Nino look" I would tend to think the system would more likely trend SW, and more flat over time. Or there is more viability in that type of solution. Just a guess
  10. imo "winter" really began back in November. I like to look at each season in it's own right
  11. Timing and storm phase/maturation are as important
  12. elephant in the room, it won't take much correction to get that Euro worse, too.
  13. Let's get this ugly, stale winter out of here and start discussing some interesting wx
  14. Hopefully the last of frigid air around for this winter!
  15. I don't mind the cold rain but it's a shame the storm hits on the weekend.
  16. 01-02 winter and 11-12 summer
  17. the back half of winter is well underway
