    Heavy rain with light breezes, not the storm we hoped for. Hopefully it stays very weak and way west, and doesnt mess up our SSTs when the real threats arrive.

    The setup simply doesn't favor a big hurricane ripping into NE. Weenies will be weenies, though. It could happen tomorrow etc.

    the gfs and euro both have mid-level ridging centered a little north of Bermuda. Euro sort of goes nuts and builds/squeezes, ala Carol maybe?

    I want a pure tropical system. That track is impossible in early August. let's save the 38 type strike for late Sept. or Oct. Perhaps some wrap around snows like 1804
