  1. Speaking of the tropics, what's up with these 6 year interval of impactful TC's in the northeast? 1815-1821. 1938-1944. 1954-1960. 1985-1991.
  2. 12z gfs for Antilles. Interesting 1988 has been popping up as an analog year, Gilbert/Hugo both roughly tracked through that area.
  3. I was thinking about those logistics as well.
  4. Derechos are kinda meh, just a very fast wind bag that is in /out. I prefer a slower moving MCS with lots of electricity.
  5. Posted yesterday about this. Looks interesting!
  6. How about 1675? The Second Great Colonial Hurricane or The New England Hurricane of 1675. A hurricane said to be almost as powerful as the 1635 New England Hurricane swept the New England coastal region. Blew down many trees in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, and destroyed warves. Older colonists that experienced the 1635 hurricane said this one had similar characteristics placing it among New England's most destructive storms.[58]
  7. Rita and Ike are largely viewed as landfalls for Houston. I was in TX/LA after both of them.
  8. A lot of folks would be happy with '88, '99, '55, '53, etc type outcomes. Let's hope for it

  12. don't like seeing that precip back in from the NE, hopefully it dries up.
  13. Looks like a pretty big deal, at least verbatim. Hopefully a bit west and stronger, but good start
  14. a few sprinkles, ground is mostly dry
  15. Pretty much into September by then, but looks like Edouard II on the gfs.
  16. Want to transplant this thing off OBX and shoot it north
  17. That's a good guess by Fish, I'd probably bring .5" a bit west but not much.
