    Will hope cold pattern reloads mid month for another window of wintry opportunity. Definitely this system another let down along with watching Illini basketball last night. One of the worst performances in 40 yrs of following them.

    The references to GHD 1 is like Bears fans recalling 1985. Too many pieces have to fall in place to get a storm of that magnitude here. And 98% of the time they don't.

    I stand in error. Although that must have been one of the best snows for NW areas out towards Rockford of the season. RFD only had 21.9" total last year

    Would say Detroit more so than Chicago last several winters. Although when it does snow has favored southside of Chicago and LES bail out for downtown

    The only constant is the GFS volatility. With this being so close to the holidays not necessarily wanting a storm that shuts the place down through the weekend anyways. As mentioned before usual qpf trimming as event nears vs some of those runs last night likely.

    My guess is Euro will slide SE in future runs to meet GFS and CMC. It might tick back far enough NW to keep you and southside in the game. LES may bail out Alex and NW burbs get screwed again.
