  1. Yep. Should allow for some access to some colder air for once.
  2. Drove home from Ocean City to Winchester early this morning. No rain the entire way. But fog was heavy up on the Bay Bridge and coming over the Blue ridge.
  3. Its a transient 24 hour period man. I am talking about sustained cold. There is none. Run the entire 2M plot of the 12Z GFS. The 24 hour period you posted is just about it for cold through the entire run.
  4. Screw it. the ICON snows me for 15 minutes. I am all in.
  5. PSU said something a couple of pages back about it. We get flooded with PAC air constantly now. We will see over the next couple of months if ENSO means anything anymore.
  6. From where? This isnt January or early February where we are cold. There is no cold air on this side of the Hemisphere. And I wonder why????
  7. We actually need you to get the storms there. We need that active southern stream.
  8. Euro seasonal or not. Look at the map of the Pacific. It is LOADED with storms. We will have our chances.
  9. Thing is it doesnt really matter. Because there is no cold air for it to pull down anyways. It is all trapped on the other side of the hemisphere. Seems to be the new norm.
  10. Euro makes me want to cry. Absolutely perfect storm track for the Shenandoah valley. And its a rain storm. Lets hope the whole atmospheric memory thing is real. Storms have been climbing the coast for months at this point. Give me that track in mid January and we get blitzed.
  11. First chance I have had to look at guidance today. The 12Z GFS was lining us up for a pummelling at the end of the run. The one take away for me is the train of storms stretching all the way across the Pacific. We are heading for a very stormy period. One of them has to score.
  12. No one even knows what "seasonable" means anymore. That is the problem.
  13. It seems to be that the new norm is all of the cold air being trapped on the wrong side of the hemisphere for us. This is like 5 winters in a row at this point. Historic cold in Siberia. It is getting old.
  14. Pretty bitter wind out here west of Winchester. Feels great.
  15. Had about 3/4 inch on my car when I left for work this morning at 6:30. Have no clue what the max was out here NW of Winchester. Just gonna go with .75 as my ob. Glad many got on the board. It's a good sign for the rest of the winter.
  16. No a few miles NW at elevation. No idea what is happening in town.
  17. 37/35 Some sleet mixing with rain now. Shouldnt be long for the flip.
  18. Best spot in Loudoun County for snow for sure. Enjoy.
  19. 40/38. Down 7 degrees in 2 hours. Pretty easy to see where the rain snow line is on this correlation coefficient capture:
