Sleet/rain mix. And that is a wrap. Cant complain about my winter out here though. Broke 30 inches. Bring on the torch and gardening weather.

Just took the dog on a Jebwalk. Sleet.snow mix here now NW of Winchester. Have about an inch of snow. If it doesnt flip back I will be disappointed for sure. EVERY single model gave me at least 4 inches.

Unreal. you are literally 6-7 miles from me and I am getting crushed right now.

The 3K has done really well with the lulls and heavier stuff so far. The next 4 hours look incredible for those of us that stay snow.

4:00 update: .7 inches. OK. Now we are talking. It has really started to pick up here over the past 15 minutes. Skies have darkened considerably. I am curious to see how quickly the roads cave as the sun sets. Beautiful outside right now.

We have about 3/4 inch and the rates have just started to pick back up again. I always loved driving into Tysons from here during snow storms when I worked down that way. It was so cool to see the change in precip types while driving to the east. I hope you guys down by the city can score some heavy snow later. It is always more fun when everyone is getting hit.

Dont short change yourself yet. Someone is going to get hit pretty hard later this evening. All of the models have a 3 hour period of heavy snow. It just depends where the r/s line ends up setting up.

Basically the same obs here. Been just light snow for the past 30 minutes or so. Nice band incoming from the west though. Models did pretty well with where the rain/snow line would set up early.

No weight on leg for 8 months. Yeah. It sucked real bad. But I am not a professional football player either Leg healed up fine for me.

Nice pics. I broke my leg there 25 years ago last week. Spiral fracture of the tib/fib. Same injury Alex Smith is recovering from right now. Havent been on skis since.

I am guessing for privacy in the pool. As a side note have any of you ever had Trader Joe's beer? I just finished off a 2 pinter of their Blonde Ale and that is some good shit. Goes well with my fireplace and the snow falling.

522 just NW of Lake Holiday. It is gorgeous out here. And it is just ripping dime sized dendrites right now.

2:00 update. .3 inches. Getting pummeled right now. Moderate band coming through and adding to totals quickly. Moderate snow 31 degrees.

It is elevation. I am in the mountains NW of town. Probably have a few hundred feet on you in the Valley.

Dumping pretty good now. I would guess 1/4 mile visibility. Everything has caved even the edges of the road. The next 6 hours should be great.
