  1. UK is a really good track for out this way. 540 line is perfect as well. Basically running down the spine of the Blue Ridge.
  2. Been snowing here for an hour. Not really sticking to anything except my neighbors Arborvitaes though. Still nice to see flakes falling from the sky.
  3. CMC is wetter than the GFS. 1.3 out here for the event. A foot is still on the table for the 81 corridor.
  4. Agreed. Only 1.1 QPF for the event out here.
  5. Where are you in relation to the city? I am NW and still mixing some.
  6. About 75% snow here now. Full flip should be soon.
  7. Go NW of Winchester. Maybe Berkeley Springs? Or if you want to stay in the 81 Corridor I think Hagerstown is a good spot.
  8. Definitely elevation dependent out this way. Looks like 1500 and above is getting the snow.
  9. Been bouncing back and forth between rain/snow and rain/sleet for about an hour now. Temp are going to bust way low though. Forecast was a high of 40. That is not happening.
  10. Not so much west as north. It depends where the low sets up. Pretty good agreement from the euro/gfs that is gonna be Front Royal and north. I know the guys to the east want the low further east. But for us a track over Norfolk is ideal.
  11. Snow get serious inside 48 hours from onset man.
  12. Rain/snow mix now west of Winchester. 33 degrees
  13. My thoughts for us western folks has not changed for 4 days. The overall setup has not changed on the models. The look is a classic for a west of the fall line foot+ snow. The only questions for me were would the qpf be there for it and would the track support it. The answer to both is yes. Someone is getting 2 feet from this. Both the Euro and GFS have been incredibly consistent that all of the 81 corridor north of Harrisonburg is going to get hit hard. We will see where the banding sets up. But most of us know how that usually goes. Regardless, this is going to be a historic December storm for the western tier of this forum. Early guess for me is 8-12 from Harrisonburg to Front Royal. 12+ from Front Royal to Harrisburg, PA. With 2 foot totals for some in that area. Know your climo and adjust accordingly.
  14. I am 33 with a forecast low of 36. This may very well surprise us.
  15. Imagine being in the NY board right now. The RGEM gave them 32 and the GFS gave them 7.
  16. I am just stating what the model says. And even if DCA got 10 inches they would report 3
  17. DCA almost 10 inches. GFS is good for all.
  18. Yeah. This run is ridiculous. If there wasnt a pandemic I would have you DC guys out to enjoy it.
  19. 69 heavy snow for all. 850 around Fredericksburg. 72. Getting pummeled. 850 just south of DC
  20. GFS 66 snow starts for everyone. 850 down just north of RIC
  21. GFS looks a lot like the Euro for tomorrow. An inch or 2.
