  1. UKIE is gonna be a nice hit west of town. Looks a lot like the GFS actually.
  2. UKIE at the mouth of the bay at 36. But 540 line well west.
  3. psu what is causing the western shift of the track? Is it a more wound up system?
  4. GEM is an ice bomb for the 81 corridor. Tracks the low over the mouth of the Potomac.
  5. The GFS stays all snow west of the Blue Ridge from roughly Luray north and west. It is too close for comfort. But we hug it until the Euro folds like a cheap suit.
  6. The GFS stopped the bleeding out this way. Lock it up right now.
  7. At this point everyone in here would take the RGEM and run.
  8. Fire up the panic room. Last night Mappy was talking about the real Phineas in the storm thread. Sounded interesting so I looked it up. Here is a pretty interesting short article on the guy if you want to read something non weather related. I had never heard of this story. So thanks for giving me something to take my mind off of the NAM. https://www.verywellmind.com/phineas-gage-2795244
  9. Brother you are in Philly. You get flakes when a bird farts.
  10. It is a unicorn. I have only ever seen one true ZR ice storm. And that was in Atlanta believe it or not.
  11. If this fails I will never feel the same about the Euro again. It had me at 20 inches last night.
  12. The NAM is concerning for sure. Even out here we are on the edge of disaster.
  13. Cold air stuck in the Valley. Blue ridge is our friend in this instance. But with the track being shown i will be surprised if we don't mix some even here.
  14. Pretty big drop in qpf this run. Still a great storm. I'm not complaining. And it is much more realistic now. Still feel good about my 8-12 from Harrisonburg to Front Royal. And 12-18 from Front Royal to Hagerstown. But I hope we don't see a trend in lower qpf throughout the day tomorrow. Good night all.
  15. Can a met or someone smarter than me explain what the hell happened during this 6 hour period? 48 54
  16. Something weird happens between 48 and 54. Its like the far east LP becomes dominate and that completely kills our precip.
  17. GFS at 36 has a little better CAD this run. First flakes out here at 15z
  18. Come on man. There is no better entertainment on earth than a NAM rum 36 hours before a storm. Worth every penny.
  19. Yeah. Nothing historic about 15 inches from southern VA to Boston in mid December according to him.
  20. That is the craziest NAM run in history. Bar none.
  21. NAM out to 39 on IWM. First flakes at 15z
