Nice. I have just had steady snow for 2 hours now. But not really piling up yet. It is only a matter of time.

We are still holding on to our northerly surface winds. I dont see the surface getting above freezing out here now. Gonna be really ugly once we flip out here.

4:00 update. Measured .7 Temps have fallen another degree in the past hour. Moderate snow 16 degrees.

It sucks. But I think that was later than you were supposed to flip. Maybe good news for us up north.

Yes. I love the sound of snow falling. It is the most underrated part of snowstorms in IMO.

Rates have really started picking up here over the past 10 minutes or so. Moderate snow 17 degrees.

81 south of Roanoke is a disaster. Jack knifed tractor trailers cars in ditches. A complete mess. Going to end up looking like 95 last week.

Legit light snow at kickoff. Scotch on the rocks, playoff NFL football and a snowstorm. Doesnt get any better than this. Light snow 18 degrees.

My daughter reporting first flakes around Mount Jackson. Moving north quickly now.

Would someone more knowledgeable be willing to explain how this is a sleet/snow sounding? The highest temp in the the column is 20 degrees.
