  1. WB 18z.... so my question is the trough looks positively tilted? Too progressive a trough to give us much potential? Or do we need a perfect track?
  2. WB 6Z EURO. Mood flakes for Sunday in NW areas?
  3. Probably true...as I get older I enjoy tracking much more than shoveling!
  4. WB 18Z 3K NAM is throwing down light frozen Sunday am.
  5. Somewhere to consider.... Aomori City Well, you can build plenty of them in Aomori City in Japan, which is the snowiest city in the world. Aomori City receives a whopping 26 feet of snowfall on an average every year.
  6. WB EPS prob. Of 6 inches or more, all of this is after Day 7....so we will see how this trends over the upcoming work week... about 25-30% of these solutions would make many happy. If 2009-10 is the bar that makes you happy you live in the wrong latitude.
  7. OZ WB 12K NAM shifted freezing rain SE compared to 18Z for tomorrow.
  8. Got to smell the rain to get the best snows... I find the discussions informative and very useful. But you need a little luck which no model can forecast. In other words you don’t always get a blizzard in a great pattern and you don’t always get shut out in an overall crap pattern. No big storms over the next seven days seems pretty certain. By next weekend, hopefully there will be something to track...
  9. WB 18Z GEFS couple of big hits toward the end of the period. No sign of suppression on these maps.
  10. NWS just issued for NW zones MDZ003-004-VAZ027-028-030-031-040-501-505-WVZ050>053-055-011100- /O.NEW.KLWX.WW.Y.0018.210101T1500Z-210102T0600Z/ Washington-Frederick MD-Shenandoah-Frederick VA-Warren-Clarke- Rappahannock-Northern Fauquier-Western Loudoun-Hampshire-Morgan- Berkeley-Jefferson-Hardy- 1231 PM EST Thu Dec 31 2020 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM FRIDAY TO 1 AM EST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch, with the highest amounts in the higher elevations. A small accumulation of snow and sleet is also possible at the onset. * WHERE...Portions of north central Maryland, northern and northwest Virginia and eastern West Virginia. * WHEN...From 10 AM Friday to 1 AM EST Saturday. Freezing rain, possibly mixed with snow and sleet at the start, will move into the area Friday midday and then gradually change to rain Friday afternoon and evening. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
  11. WB GFS Day 12....hopefully sign of things to come for January. I actually am very satisfied with December. Close to 8 inches and chilly. Wish everyone a healthy and happy New Year!
  12. WB 18Z GEFS....will be interesting to watch the trends over the next two weeks...
  13. WB 18Z GEFS . 19 would make the northern third happy for Sunday.
  14. Patience....if it can still snow in South Texas it can still snow in the DMV. WB EURO for Friday.
  15. WB 12Z EPS...throws us all a bone. One Member likes Sunday...
  16. WB 12Z EURO for Sunday...pattern still favors interior PA and central NY. Hopefully, will shift south as we go through January.
  17. Two big hits, one moderate hit 18Z GEFS, let’s see if those 10 percent odds improve over the next week...
  18. Snow flurries in Brunswick. Merry Christmas!
  19. WB 12Z NAM....cold front heading east of I95 at 4am Christmas Day.
  20. WB 18Z GEFS does not look as negative as the last several pages of this forum...
  21. We had our chance, sun angle issues start next week...
  22. I have zero expectations for more snow before Christmas but the models have not figured it out yet....compare WB 0z EURO to 12Z Friday 1 am.
