Hey are we long lost brothers? I could have written this Lol. Here I am. Ha
-
Hilarious to me. Just yesterday the meteorologist in Connecticut where like. " Oh, this is going to be a good size Snowstorm for Sunday ". The models were showing a fair amount of snow, to today, looks like the snow chances dropped off to just a couple of mood flakes at the end of it on Sunday. I am not sure what's going on, but, last Year started off with what was supposed to be a great pattern for cold and snow and we didn't get it. This year they were saying a much better pattern than last year definitely going to be a good winter for the Northeast for cold and snow. Northern New England has done well so far, but Southern New England to the Mid-Atlantic not good at all. So much for a good winter. I know it's only the beginning of January, but even the 14-day Outlook is way above normal with not much snow chances. I'm sorry for the rant, I'm just frustrated. But whatever, it's just weather LOL

I love how you try to push buttons. They have a forum that is for you. It's called SUMMER.
-
If I'm reading right, the 12z Euro shows the coastal bomb. At least as of right now, right?
-
This pattern is turning into last year again. It's comical
-
Well.. We are now getting sleet here. I'm on the Plainville/Farmington line. About 500 ft up. Wasn't expecting any sleet now. He made mention that we might have a few sleet a love tomorrow morning, and I figure we miss out on the icing because of where we are. So, why are we getting sleet here now?
-
In that kind of early about the snow mixing in that this point? Also, I need snow in Enfield..was reporting sleet as well. Is it cold air coming in a little quicker because of the storm that's forming to the South? Starting set to saturate the lower levels
-
I will admit that they admitted before, I became a little negative about the way the pattern has been as of late. But in my defense, I did have some surgery, and I was on some pain medications that I'm not used to and never take. I think that had a lot to do with me feeling more negative LOL. I'm sure and the pattern will change. To anyone there who is concerned or worried that winter is over, don't be. It's not. I promise it'll be back and everyone will be happy, well except for Dr. Dews...lol

So...the latest is the high pressure to our north is going to dig its heels in, which will drain the cold air into the area, and, looks to pop another storm of the coast Monday eve. Right now, it looks to be an icy mix for inland Connecticut. Things are still evolving though, so, we'll see. Can't we get a big ole snowstorm.. Yes..I'm a WEENIE!!! LOL
-
So. When does it look like we will have our next Snow potential for the northeast/SNE? 1/6?
-
Sorry.. Spell check went to work on this. I meant to say the GFS
-
Hmmm. I would have to disagree. The HF3S model had been calling for the snowstorm that is going to be hitting the Midwest. The Euro hadn't showed it, until today that is. So, GFS was first to show the storm..the Euro then Came on board after. Just stating a fact.
-
Yeah... I think everyone wouldn't mind not seeing you until. " NEVER " you're such a joy and a winner man.
-
I do want to apologize for my little rant earlier. Although it wasn't even that bad compared to what I'm seeing LOL. I know winter will be back. I've always been a very optimistic person and I plan on staying that way. I'm quite sure we're going to see more storms and see the excitement level shootup to the top of the exiteometer. So, let's take this little break we're going to have from the winter weather in the next couple of weeks and know that it'll be back. It will be fun times ahead. And we'll all forget about these last few weeks. Merry Christmas to all you guys. I really do like this forum and enjoy coming here every day
-
So guys. Are we seriously sing that January is now a lost cause. The same s*** happened last year. And this year they're talking about it being so much different and so much better as far as the setup goes. Please tell me that things are going to flip and to January. I hate to have another sucky winter like last winter. But I did have a great December so I'm not complaining about that
-
I'm not sure what all of you are saying, but, I'm in Central Connecticut and we've already received about 18"-20" in here in Plainville. That is definitely not a bad start for December. So it's not just NNE or CNE, it's also Southern New England

Just listen to my love by the guy in Connecticut. He said we're not going to get into that real warm sector that they're going to have in the midwest. Will be on the edge, so the highest will get to the mid-40s by Monday Tuesday and Wednesday come and then they will drop back with a Chance of some snow on Thursday. Is also a chance with bigger storm the end of the weekend. He did mention things will be changing for January too cold and stormy a month. I'd rather it be, for the holiday as well just listen to my local by the guy in Connecticut. He said we're not going to get to that real warm sector that they're going to have in the Midwest. Will be on the edge, so the high as well get to the mid forties by Monday Tuesday and Wednesday, then they will drop back with a Chance of some snow on Thursday. Is also a chance would bigger storm the end of the weekend. He did mention things will be changing per January too cold or and stormy a month. I'd rather it be calm for the holiday as well. That's why I'm traveling to do

Pay. no attention to him
-
Why anyone is writing January off right now is truly unrealistic. We had such an awesome December, it's no wonder the last week and a half went to a more neutral and calm based pattern. It's a rare to have a pattern run the same way right through one month to the next month all winter long. Not saying it hasn't happened, but very rare. We just need patience people, January will have it's Sparks and moments of snow and cold. And so what about not having a white Christmas. Doesn't happen often anyway, so, it's not the end of the world. Everyone take a breath. Winter is not done, not by any means. True winter is really just starting
-
Actually.... With the amount of Snow we saw already, having this breaking accumulation is not a bad thing. The atmosphere needs to reload....we will see more snow as we move into new year
-
Answer me this. Why do you bother participating in this thread? I think you're in the wrong thread. You should be in the Caribbean thread. Those are your peeps, not us
-
I'm never like this. Probably the most optimistic person on this form. Had some surgery almost a week ago, and I'm stuck in the house and feeling a little claustrophobic and somewhat down, hence the post. Guess I was just hoping for a little excitement to track while I'm in this house lol. It'll happen I'm sure. Anyway, back to our daily program
-
So guys. I'm fine with no white Christmas, but, I find it hard to believe that the Winter will be a bust. From the patterns I see happening the possibilities for this winter, I just don't see it ending up like last winter. I really do believe that we will get more snow that's weird run pack Christmas into January. Anyone else have a take on this
-
Let's just not give Dr. Dews the satisfaction of an answer anymore guys. He is obviously looking for attention. Merry christmas Dr Dews. May all your dreams come true.
-
I'm just not in your camp. There is no Merritt in What your saying other than you do not like snow and cold. Torch for most of the Winter. I'm not sure you are correct.
