Yeah.... It looks like our weather pattern will not start getting stormy again until later next week. So, we might eek something out around the 31st.... But more likely the start of February. It's slow torture ( but hoping something makes up for all of this waiting and watching the Gulf Coast get slammed ). Our turn will come.

Yeah.. just like your call for some 10+ here for the storm a few days ago....

Bob Maxon on NBC CT mentioned there are a few threats in the 10-day forecast but he didn't want to put anything on the forecast, so it looks dry and seasonable for now

Then why in hell would he post that? ....lol

What's it showing?

Where is it heading as of now? Up or out?

I will say this, looking at the radar down to our Southwest, it really looks like it's starting to explode. There's a lot of precipitation coming in from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and there's also a lot developing off the coast converging with that precipitation. Gives hope to getting at least 3 to 6 in here.

Just started here in the past half hour. I'm at about 500 ft. I just got my haircut down the hill in town and it was kind of a rain with a couple snowflakes. Went home up to my house and it was a bit more of snow. From my window of our home. I can see the top of the mountain next to me which is another 250 ft up and it was snowing up there . It's so crazy how you can see three different levels of what's going on. Ps, it's snowing in Philadelphia now

Still nothing mentioned by any of the local METs. Hmmm. Wonder why?

I saw how both show those banding ideas. I guess it is a matter of where they happen. My initial thought of 4"-8" is super safe, but, where ever those bands do set up, they COULD bring those those totals up with pops of 10" amounts in certain area's. Otherwise, pleased with knowing we are solid for getting 4"-8". At least the snow will stay on the ground with the cold weather coming until something else comes up ( hopefully next weekend ).

Not if you ask Kev ... We have Snow after Snow after Snow coming.

Winter storm warnings now hoisted for Hartford and Tolland county Connecticut. They're saying 4 to 8 with some possible 10-inch amounts. Edit.... Just flipped over Northern Fairfield, Northern New Haven, Northern Middlesex county to warnings as well. Immediate shoreline are all Winter Weather advisory

Maybe there will be issues temperature wise when it starts. But temperatures will fall as the storm gets going. I think you saying a good chunk of the subform will have issues, not sure a good chunk will, but some will. But you've always been the bearer of Doom when it comes to temps And warming. We'll see how this plays out
