  1. Some of you guys are on here are seriously bullies. You don't know how to talk to people with any respect or candor. I'm fine..but, other people, especially the younger crowd might not be. So..think about that when you give your sarcastic remarks. If there are any moderators looking at some of the responses...maybe you can step in and say something. To you Dr. Dews, grow the hell up.
  2. Learn what? Lol I'm not a kid..haha. Probably older than you man
  3. Don't congratulate anyone as of yet. Still premature as some of these nunbers will change....especially in the battle zone areas of central CT into easterm mass.
  4. What does it show after Monday eve for Central/ northern CT? Also... I see some worrying about some of the warmth the Nam is showing..but..it is still 2-3 days out ( not in Nam's wheel house ), and..Nam can be a bit on the Warm Bias. I always remember Bernie Rayno saying... Don't get caught up in the windshield wipers effect a few days prior..lol
  5. Well.. For where I am about 18 miles west of Hartford.. The amounts for what I will see is almost exactly the same 12-14"
  6. Hey neighbor...plainville here. Hoping for the same. Up at about 500 ft. Not sure if that will play a role on all snow..or some mixing, but, for Defember first.. I'll take it for sure!
  7. I think your a bit too bullish with the sleet thing. Just my opinion ( well, also the GFS, Euro, Nam....ect )..lol I better add GEM to the list as well!!
  8. I wouldn't write this off for you man. The storm has been showing signs of stalling and that could bring you some more snow. Plus, models are staying to come into beret agreement ( both Euro & GFS )..which is a good thing
  9. Listen guys....this could easily go back to offshore. Let's give it some time. Hearts are breaking all over the place. Some of you talk about not get to caught up in the model runs, yet, here we go... " The threat is dead ", or " only a NNE special ". Is it not just Wednesday? We do have 5-6 days, right. I'm not deterred yet at all. Nor should any of you Nay sayers.
  10. Some of your guys are playing games. Your sarcasm is someone else's dig. Just be more mindful man. Thats all I am saying. Now lets talk Weather, shall we?
  11. He never said that.. I watched him tonight. What he said was the track is not set in stone, and a lot can happen between now and the weekend. He just wanted everybody prepared for the possibility of something because of the travel day back from the holiday. Also, he never said it's going to rain where you are. He didn't say rain in Southbury. He mentioned that add of right now..there is a chance of wintry precip. Let's keep it real man.
  12. Do you mean the Brad Field that used to be on wvit in Ct? If so, it was wonder where he went
  13. I can do without the heavy ice, but I love every other aspect of winter storms
  14. Hey man..im in Plainville... Up about 500 ft...rattlesnake mountain. We now have sleet and some cat paws here still mixed with rain.
  15. No..I'm not new. I usually just look and not say anything like this as I don't want to be to harsh on the kiddos..lol
  16. So, I see these posts of " what a waste of a storm because of no cold air " or " winter cancel ". First of all to November, and second of all, wouldn't you think with these nor'easters happening that we're setting ourselves up for this kind of pattern throughout the winter? I would think this is going to be a really good thing for us
  17. I agree. We shouldn't be looking for storms to be snow at this point. The good news is, we're getting into a good rhythm with nor'easters happening. With this pattern, I see these still happening throughout the winter. And, it will get colder. Even when it's marginal, in January and February, marginal is cold enough for snow with these types of storms. So sit tight, smiling, exciting times are ahead.
  18. Ya know.. I'm learning to not get so frustrated with some of the people on here who are Debbie Downers. They will always be here, even when you try to send a reply as to encourage them to look ahead ( especially when it is so dang early in the season ). I myself will now enjoy a healthy conversation and look forward to fun times ahead ( amd that I am pretty sure of ) Just about the same temp here in Plainville. Temperatures were supposed to be in the 40s today, I wonderto if they will hoist winter weather advisory for Hartford County as well.

  20. Hey guys and gals. I have been a weather Enthusiast for years. I always enjoy coming on here to talk about latest model runs a different aspects of the weather. What's not enjoyable is when certain people complain when something doesn't go their way. The whole fun about whether is the changes that comes every hour. Those are some of the wonderful things about weather. Can it be frustrating, yes, but, in the end, it can be rewarding. So, try to enjoy all the fun things about the weather Instead of getting caught up in all the negative things. This is going to be a great Winter!
  21. Dude, your kidding right? Lolol. If your not, your gonna be in an insane asylum by the new year..lol I on the other hand, I am pretty pumped for this season. We have a LONG way to go. 4 months of torture..hehe, I mean if exciting weather.
