  1. NAM says we will go from this cold rain to another slightly less cold rain.
  2. We had hope last night. Now we are 24 hrs closer to gametime and the guidance has not improved so the mood is darker.
  3. Man this is going to be a close one. Looks like a classic forum divider.
  4. All true, but no weenie is going to be happy when the two models that showed snow no longer do so.
  5. 0z GEFS is better for DC. 18z was basically a shutout comprised of rainers. 0z is almost an even split of rainers and wintry precip.
  6. Pretty much unanimously shows rain for almost everyone. A few members have snow up near m/d line.
  7. If this happens then my grade for this winter goes down a full letter grade.
  8. Well the OP showing cold rain at 78 hrs has been foolproof so far as well so just lookin for some hope.
  9. Will be interesting to see if some decent solutions show up in the ensembles. 12z GEFS was pretty much unanimously rainers.
  10. 18z GFS is damn close to doing just that. It still doesn’t get it done though.
  11. 12z GEFS pretty much all rainers for this event for DC/Balt. Marginally better up near m/d line.
  12. Doesn’t GFS have it track to our south?
  13. Welp, it was inevitable that NYC and NE would have their revenge. We’re actually been pretty fortunate not to have one of these storms up to this point.
  14. The flip wasn’t so bad. It flipped to sleet and then drizzle. At least it didn’t flip to pouring rain and wash everything away. My yard is still covered.
  15. The storm was exceptionally well modeled. It consistently showed up on ops and ensembles for a week or more. What do we have to thank? A stout 50/50?
  16. Could be. Looking out the window it looks like spitting small snowflakes. Doesn’t look or sound like pingers (yet).
  17. N. Arlington just hanging on to the southern edge of the snow shield.
  18. Seeing reports of lightning in N. Md. between Hagerstown and Cumberland.
