GFS is pretty good for areas N & W. Just a touch too warm for DC Metro but time for things to change.

I can extrapolate a good hit from this. Snow in Alabama and Mississippi can’t be a bad thing. Edit: Posted 18z. 0z is even better.

GFS has a Friday the 13th “storm”. Snow into DCA early Friday AM.

GFS looks as good as it ever has for this Tues-weds event. Might cover the mulch.

I think the confusion arose from the fact that the mean 18z eps snowfall doesn’t show anyone getting 5”. But I agree with your point.

12z GFS has a frozen event at hour 240. Precip running into cold air damming.

Happy Hour GFS is pretty active but wants nothing to do with snow for us FWIW.

Pretty stout PNA ridge in medium-range on the GEFS.

Would like to see a 50/50 but not a bad look in the long range from EPS.

GFS gets us into some of the coastal action but just too warm at the surface for DC metro. Looks better for Jackpotville.
