  1. GEFS at the end of its run isn’t terrible. I would be willing to roll the dice with this look.
  2. Thanks. We’ll be there 12/27-12/31. This will probably be in the middle of our annual holiday torch but hoping there are a few trails open.
  3. At least the EPS and GEFS both have a decent -NAO continuing in the long range.
  4. What did she say about when they are opening?
  5. Pretty good look with the 50/50 low and a -NAO. I don’t think we like the low heights over Alaska though, right? We need those low heights further west to extend the PNA ridge up into Canada. I could be wrong though.
  6. This would be bigger for me than just about every single event last winter.
  7. If things play out the way the GFS depicts, the Panic Room will be overbooked by mid-December. It’s just a slew of juiced up rain bombs for us.
  8. EPS pretty lacking in the snow department.
  9. Euro and GFS worlds apart for this weekend. Same result for us but big difference for New England.
  10. GFS says shorts and flip flops next weekend.
  11. Weenie Rule #12: The big ones are sniffed out early.
  12. I hope the GEFS at the end of its run (12z) wasn’t starting to move to a familiar pattern from last winter.
  13. It’s nice to have the reds and blues finally start to show up in the right places.
  14. Euro looks good for Indiana weenies. Back to back inland cutters.
  15. Eastern NC gets bullseyed. Just need a north trend.
  16. My votes go to Bo Jackson and Michael Jordan.
  17. Cold powder because I don’t want all the worries about mixing.
  18. Capital Weather Gang going with slightly below normal snowfall. Hopefully the link isn't paywalled. Reagan National Airport (DCA): 10 to 14 inches (compared with a 15.4-inch average, 11-inch median) Dulles International Airport (IAD): 14 to 18 inches (compared with a 22.0-inch average, 16 inch-median) Baltimore-Washington International Marshall Airport (BWI): 14 to 18 inches (compared with a 20.1-inch average, 15-inch median) Fairfax, Loudoun, Montgomery counties: 12 to 20 inches Alexandria, Arlington and Prince George’s counties and the District: 10 to 16 inches DEC +3 JAN +1-2 FEB +1-2 https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2020/11/18/washington-dc-winter-outlook-2020-21/
  19. 3x climo blizzard for me would be about 5’ of snow. No way I would pass that up. How long does it stick around though? If it’s gone within a few days that might change things.
