  1. 36/29 and the rain has changed over to snow in NE Monmouth Co.
  2. Some light piano jazz to compliment the mood........Enjoy the event!
  3. Light snow just started here in eastern Monmouth County. T 30.2 DP 22.6.
  4. Currently T 27, DP 22, with very fine flakes in the air here in eastern Monmouth County. We were always on the cut line for this event so last evening was enjoyable. Got 4 inches before changing to rain at around 10:00PM. Temp was still at freezing so this morning we have 2 inches of frozen crust on everything, and a small, frozen wind row from the plow at the street. No shoveling the driveway with this.
  5. I've been a snow lover since childhood in the 1950's. Regardless of my IMBY outcome, my wife of 45 years and I are hunkered down tonight in eastern Monmouth Co, and enjoying every bit of this event thus far; wood fire, good music, good drinks, all is well! Just wanted to thank a couple posters for the ride this week before the blush of the event has passed..... First, MJO812, Met Fan, I've never met or come in contact with another individual feeling the same way I do about snow. I got your back no matter what you post! And then wdrag.... I'm a professional engineer of of over 40 years and about to retire and admire you carrying your knowledge beyond your professional requirements to all of us...thank you! Happy Holidays to all!!
  6. Mood flakes in eastern Monmouth County....they're working!
  7. T 76, DP 74, thick, unpleasant air. Smoke from our back yard pyrotechnics just hung in the yard. And as an old army vet still celebrating Independence Day, it brought to mind those soldiers engaged this same time of year in 1778, in even hotter, adverse conditions at the Battle of Monmouth.
  8. Thanks for the response. After communicating with AmbientWeather Help, I learned that only the outdoor instruments of the 1401 kit are displayed on Weather Underground. I connected with AmbientWeather.net and am now showing both the outdoor and indoor data.
  9. Question about Ambient Weather WS-1401. I have been using weather underground for computer display and cannot figure out how to get the indoor sensor displayed on the computer. Any help much appreciated.
  10. With today's weather........ the entire congregation seems at peace..................
  11. Although the memories of the February Blizzard of 1978 remain keen, the post Christmas 2010 storm is tops on my list. My niece and her 7 yr old daughter arrived from Florida several days before Christmas. The youngster had never seen snow before. There was reasonable certainty of some light snow starting late Christmas day or the following. I thought I'd be clever and bought her a snow globe and told her if she kept shaking it, we might get some snow. By late evening on the 26th, it was snowing so hard she became frightened and hid the globe in a closet. We ended up with 29".
