Nearing 4", still snowing from this photo by my wife at 11:30am. Hopefully a sign of things to come this winter, with a little overperformer here in mid Oct.

Closing in on about 4" as of this photo sent by my wife at 11:30 this morning. Without power from about 5 am til 10am.

3" of heavy wet snow as of 6am this morning at our cabin. Power out since about 4:30 or 5am. Some smaller trees bent right over to ground up and down our driveway.

Hello All, Wife and I decided to sell our home in Edinboro and do tiny house living in our Cabin (right on PA/NY line, little over 1 mile due west of Peek n Peak) for the next 2 or 3 years, then build forever home. Going to present lots of challenges, but we love the area - isolated and snowy! Have about 2 miles of walking trails cut into our woods, so wonderful for our furkids. Good amount of snow so far - had 32" even in November and 5.5" overnight into early this morning for 37.5" on the season. Hope to post pictures at times if I can remember how. Still some question on our electric heat source, so not to sound blasphemous, but hoping for a more mild winter with temps.

Usually post this once a year or so with my limited posting - picture of Lake Erie. Must have not been too ice covered recently . This was taken on top of our Coaster about 1/2 hour ago, looking northeast up the lake. Ice free save some slushy shore ice. Taken at the amusement park I work at which is at the entrance to Presque Isle state park, couple miles west of the city of Erie. If we do get some cold, Lake seems available for some action...

Evening started with promise - 2" down with decent rates / flake size, then mixing started about an hour ago. Not a whole lot of expectation for the remainder of the night. My P&C now down to 3-5" overnight (not a chance) from 6-10" earlier. Of course up along the lakeshore will get hammered and over perform I am certain (which never happened by the way during the 23 years I lived up there). First 14 winters living here in the "snowbelt" in Edinboro, averaged 158.8" snow each winter topping out with 224.3" in 08-09. Welp, the last three, including this one as of now: 94.0" in 18-19 104.5" 19-20 66.5" to date 20-21 It simply does not snow in south central Erie County PA anymore. Every event underperforms greatly. So, another craptastic winter with another sold F grade coming up. Looking forward to an up & in miss to the NW or a down & away miss to the SE on Thursday. Cabin Land not faring much better relative to the annual seasonal average of 180 - 200" mark out by Peak / Findley Lake area. Do have a decent snowpack of about 16" as of this evening. However, not adding much tonight I bet. Radar looks anemic as of this post and webcams for the Peak & Wilderness lodge show nada. Must be a mix now as well or just pixie dust falling. Thanks for entertaining my cathartic rant.

Hope so. CLE seems less than impressed in their most recent long term section of discussion. Pretty much have written it off. Think that was the shortest duration of an HWO I have seen before pulled, when they were touting LES potential as early as this morning. In addition, BUF afternoon HWO trumpeting LES northeast of both lakes.

9" overnight, 18" for the event at cabin. Wife said "edinboro got dumped on" last night, will be curious to measure at home Close to lakeshore, pretty light. Looks like 2 or 3 " tops overnight

Made our way to 10" at cabin (PA/NY border by Peak) for event thus far. Moderate snow as of now. Wonder if we can tickle 20" by tomorrow night... 5" tops at home in edinboro when I left this morning. Webcam indicated light snow during day, so maybe up to 6 there. Still only couple inches along lakeshore at work this AM Time to get fire going and for a snow-walk in the woods!

3" overnight at home, about inch or 2 along lakeshore. Zero snow all morning along lake. Looks like a nice long duration lake effect cloud event in the making. This "winter" can be done with already.

Radar returns anemic. Temperatures have gone up a couple of degrees since dark across the county. Looks like storm done early. Zero snow along lakeshore in nwpa. Anxious to see what fell out at cabin by the Peak when I get there later tonight

FWIW, it has flipped to snow already looking at Peek'n Peak webcams, very noticeable on the Terrain Park cam. Will stay at cabin tonight for sure, hopefully an overachiever.
