  1. He can't respond right now, he's outside shoveling.
  2. Is there a way to get rid of that thin bar on the right side of the screen that narrows down all content that follows below for the whole page? I am talking about the popular posts, popular posters, etc., bar.
  3. There was a solid dropoff in precip amunts east of the city:
  4. 1.29 inches at LGA, more from this pop up event than from that "major" storm a few days ago.
  5. That Central Park number is crap EDIT: I see you addressed that faulty 4.2 inch number in another post.
  6. Models have gotten a little better in terms of precip amounts for the upcomning event.
  7. My new averages are based solely on 2024. So far March has been well below normal.
  8. That surprise 5 inches (which I remember well) ruined the record for least snowy winter on record.
  9. Yea I remember that, it was giving us snow meanwhile other models had it going through northern New England latitude.
  10. Haha I love this. We need a thumbs up emoji
  11. I'm all in on this idea. Let's be real climate change is a global problem, not a specific country problem. I don't care how many initiatives and policies the West implements, even if we went 100% greenhouse gas free China alone accounts for a third of global emissions, so what's the point of we give other places a pass to pollute? And no they should not be given time to catch up on polluting the Earth lol, you think the Earth gives a crap who's polluting and when they started? So I only see geo engineering as a practical solution to this global problem. It's actually feasible to cool the Earth back to preindustrial levels by annual releases of aerosols in the stratosphere, and the cost would be something like 20 to 40 billion dollars, a drop in the bucket. I hope this takes off and we go all in on this.
  12. Here's the rest of the month. This is for Central Park just to be clear.
  13. And 3 to 4 inches of snow fell on the 7th.
  14. 75 this time of year is solid air conditioner weather. Sun will bake a house at that temp. No thanks. I'll take a nice 60 to 65 straight throiugh the end of June
  15. We're getting used to North Carolina averages. I didn't think it was that warm either until I saw bluewave's numbers and I was shocked. And that's up against the fake new normals that constantly go up every 10 years.
  16. You mean this morning? I think whoever said that probably meant the city anyway. I got down to 34, currently still there. Even rural northern Nassau is 33. Too much wind for full cooldown in the farmland down here.
  17. This is the best I can find that's free:
  18. 12z EURO is not that far off generally speaking:
  19. 18z GFS still likes the "snow" event:
  20. About an inch of rain here, pretty good.
  21. Central Park is notorious for recording a statistically anomalous number of 89 degree days lol so they were like 10 to 15 90 degree days lower than surrounding stations in 2010 (and pretty much every year since the early 2000s.)
  22. It lasted a while, I remember waking up with snow/sleet and it was still falling that night.
  23. I think most of it was from what I remember. Maybe it started as rain, but I can't remember that part. I just remember it was snowy and sleety, lots of sleet, mostly sleet lol
