  1. I got below freezing here at 31 degrees. Let's see if the park gets to 32 at 6AM or in between hours. They're at 33 degrees.
  2. The only chances he'll be catching in Southern California are chances for wildfire. I can't imagine what the home insurance costs down there as a new buyer.
  3. I might cave and put it up a bit so the spouse doesn't get pissed. Otherwise I'd ride it out.
  4. 62 degrees. I usually have it at 68 in winter. But with the strong Sun this time of year it should be warmer indoors tomorrow. It's just that it's been cloudy for basically 3+ days now that it allowed it to get so chilly inside.
  5. I've turned my heat way down because I refuse to pay Con Edison in April and my house is freezing lol Luckily with Sun tomorrow the house can warm up naturally with the higher insolation.
  6. Kudos to the models for seeing this cold push 6 or 7 days out
  7. I was installing a solar panel for my ring camera yesterday dodging the showers since the damned thing is battery powered and got tired of swapping batteries often. I wont really know how well it generates power until Tuesday because of all this cloudiness and rain. I love cool and sunny this time of year, it doesn't actually feel cold.
  8. I'm ok with all tropical activity being a far miss.
  9. There is some stuff popping up around Philly, I'm not sure if it will develop into anything substantial for us though.
  10. Must be all that UHI at 500mb! Haha People forget that all levels of the troposphere are rapidly warming. Hard to blame the airport tarmac when the record heating is also happening at 850mb, 500mb, etc.
  11. Models have another cold shot showing NYC going below freezing a couple more times on CAA in 6 or 7 days.
  12. It's only possible on a technical level, but it's EXTREMELY unlikely.
  13. Why has this year been exceptional regarding average wind speeds? What overarching setup would produce such a long term outcome?
  14. Above normal is now normal. Normal is now below normal. Below normal is the equivalent to nuclear winter.
  15. Yea I peaked like 67 or 68 before dropping to 65 or 66. Nothing like the near 80 in most of NJ though.
  16. Strong southerly winds here are keeping temps at bay, mid 60s so far.
  17. Looks like almost all of us stayed in the mid 40s today.
  18. Still holding at 45 degrees here.
  19. What is the largest 1 hour temp drop ever recorded at Central Park?
  20. Yea it's not like it's unprecedented. That doesn't mean I believe that it will snow of course.
