  1. 91/DP 76 here. Looks like some high clouds moving in from the NW.
  2. Fish in that river sure are having a great time.
  3. Looks like there was a massive fire at a Kentucky bourbon facility. Now half of a river is bourbon because lots of booze spilled into the river apparently.
  4. Meh. Looks like I'm gonna get split.
  5. -NAO will turn positive just in time for winter
  6. What does this upcoming pattern change mean for my vacation to SW WV on the 5th? I'm riding quads down at the Hatfield-Mccoy trail system for a week. Might leave on the 4th. Better not be raining every single day, but I do hope to see some towers for a couple days.
  7. Getting absolutely nailed by pop-up cells! Lightning is kinda meh though
  8. Barely moving, too. I bet those rainfall rates are almost 2 inches per hour in that storm.
  9. STW for the anvil cloud I saw developing earlier now. ...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM EDT FOR NORTHERN KENT AND SOUTHEASTERN CECIL COUNTIES... 10. Severe hail is hail that meets criteria for severe warning. 1 inch hail or greater is severe.
  11. 4,000 J/kg of SBCAPE already and 2,000 MLCAPE. Whole area should be under a watch.
  12. Downgrade the slight risk. I'm sure we'll get something that way.
  13. DCA: +1.9 NYC: +1.5 BOS: +1.3 ORD: +0.6 ATL: +1.1 IAH: +2.1 DEN: +0.5 PHX: +1.4 SEA: +1.2
  14. Huge CAPE values over central OK right now, exceeding 7,000 J/kg in places.. I want that here
  15. Just as I thought it couldn't bust for the 4th time in a row i just get a heavy shower with zero lightning, with 20kft echo tops as the cherry on top.
  16. I am watching a storm form over Dover, looking east from the state line. Rain shaft forming as well and an anvil just popped out
  17. 3-4,000 J/kg SBCAPE and 1500 - 2000 J/kg of MLCAPE per latest meso analysis over much of the area. Just need it to be realized.
  18. 3rd bust in a row (last night had like 1 rumble of thunder btw) in my yard.
  19. Maybe a line will form an connect the southern storms with the northern ones. But then again that's just my weenie-ism talking.
  20. Guidance holding out quite nicely as numerous storms are popping to the south as expected. Seems like farther north has more discrete cell potential where the SLGT risk is. Literally nothing right now though.
  21. Why's the SPC have the slight risk over the eastern - northeast areas if most of the guidance shows the southern areas getting hit?
