  1. Winter storm tracking season will be here before you know it. Make sure you have your night light blue light filters set to "on" on your computers to deal with days of tracking and staring at models and futility till 3 AM.
  2. Sunburn making it feel hotter than it actually is, as well as it being slightly muggy as well. Sun is still strong I will tell you that, but it's not nearly as strong as it would be in July/Aug (if the airshow was in Aug I would of had an extreme sunburn much worse than this sunburn). Shoulda put more sunscreen on yesterday as it was cloudy, then the sun came out and forgot to put more sunscreen on because I was hooked on the airplanes.
  3. Dover Air Show tomorrow at the air base. Seen some F-22's flying around in loops. https://www.dover.af.mil/ThunderOverDover/
  4. 5th grade. 2001. I remember that day as a normal day in class talking about the hurricane (Erin I think?) as I was a huge weather nerd. Suddenly the teachers announced the news that planes hijacked by terrorists have been crashed into both world trade centers. Honestly thought we were entering a war during that period. We had to leave schools early due to safety concerns and being near Washington D.C, as the elementary school I went to was only about 20-30 miles from there. #NeverForget
  5. I can Phil it Collin in the Air Tonight
  6. Ravens offense is super. A record score of 59-10 against the Dolphins. Ravens are a real team.
  7. Ravens are absolutely destroying the Miami Dolphins this first half. Don't ease up next half!
  8. Damn. Ninja'd again before I was gonna post Josh's latest tweet:
  9. Yeah, cat 1 with sustained gusts of over 185 mph. Devastating to say the least.
  10. Sorry my question was meant to be sarcastic. Apologies.
  11. Also, how does a mod get hired on the forums? I'm looking to become one.
  12. That was a hell of a storm last night around 11 PM. Missed the storm by a few miles but the lightning was very loud. Apparently a tree blew up down the road from me in someone's yard.
  13. Almost 14 hours straight of tracking dorian now. Safe to say I've beat my personal record of about 11 hours or so tracking Irene moving up the coast after I graduated high school.
  14. Honestly I've been staring at the satellite and models ya know for hours on end without budging since yesterday morning. It's like a NHC shift but at home and i'm not even qualified lol. But I could qualify since I'm good at sitting at the edge of my bed tracking hurricanes for so long.
  15. Cmon guys. Really? SW Wobble. Yes, SW wobble. You heard it right. SW wobble! We talkin' bout SW wobbles. How many SW wobbles will it take to will this thing to Australia?
  16. 18z GFS is the same at hour 0 as it was through hour 6 at 12z.
  17. At this rate of intensification Dorian will be a 300 mph sub 850 mb storm by tomorrow morning.
  18. NHC will wait until everyone's asleep at 2 AM to upgrade to cat 5. Sheesh.
  19. Where's the Bermuda triangle when you need it most. Make the whole storm just disappear.
