Major lightning show continuing and the cell is getting bigger along with backbuilding, another cell to the north as well which is gaining steam. I think I'm getting lucky tonight 10:35 PM edit: Shellacked. Heavy rain. lightning everywhere. 11:45 PM edit: Storms weakening substantially to my east. Strobe light show pretty much over. Tomorrow we rinse and repeat?

I've kinda gotten used to this heat. Heat indexes of 110 no longer feel that hot anymore. I guess it's due to our climate becoming like Florida since 2016

Temp has cooled a degree. Down to 95/77 from a high of 97. Some cumulus clouds here and there now.

Denton MD has a stronger UHI than Goldsboro. They're about 10 feet lower in elevation than here, it's next to a river, and it's a decent sized town. I'm getting jealous. Looks like 95/80 there. Meanwhile 94/78 here. Edit: 95/81 at KNUI (St. Inigoes) now. Heat index 117.
