  1. Love how it starts to split as soon as it nears my house. Plenty close enough for loud booms here and there. Constant low rolling thunder now. Edit: Complete split. Just moderate rain atm. Heavy occasionally but not much else. Final grade looks to be a D+
  2. Gonna get a shellacking here it seems. Can already hear the thunder. Couple bolts shot out pretty far from the main storm. Dangerous even if you are miles away.
  3. I have family that lives right next to the circulation!!!! Edit: They're north of Annapolis.

  7. First strong cell of the day north of Winchester. Intense lightning on the lightning map.
  8. I will be more than obliged to steal your severe.
  9. Different story here in Goldsboro. Near full sun and a cumulus cloud or two is starting to show up. Perfect conditions for destabilization. Winds light and variable
  10. 12k NAM is discrete cell galore. The HRRR has slightly more linear storms and CAPE isn't too bad although I'd prefer higher CAPE
  11. Tomorrow will make up for tonight's underperformer. Some lightning strikes so far but the heaviest is south.
  12. It's that time of year. Fall foliage is one of my favorite things about fall. I'm obsessed with it. Maybe I'll plan a trip up there in late sep-early oct
  13. I need everybody in D.C and the Delmarva to buy an industrial fan and strap it to a helicopter, and turn them all on at once so we can get a D2 MOD.
  14. I suspect this winter will have twice as much snow if not more than last winter, despite an unfavorable ENSO. Last winter was a special one.
