  5. It’s not all back doors and misery mist - the coast has its benefits
  6. Drove the pike to Lee today, still full stick season at 1,700 feet in Becket
  7. Nice. My next-door neighbor has one similar to that one, maybe a few years newer. I get to work on it and borrow it typically a few times per year, it has a big bagging attachment that comes in handy. My standard lawn machine is a 22-inch walk behind; it's a three-mile round-trip hike through the yard.
  8. this. I cut the cable about 6-7 years ago, and 4 years ago replaced the AM/FM/cassette radio in my antique Honda with a carplay touch-screen hands-free aftermarket unit with back-up camera that connects to my phone the internet is a much more efficient time-waster than teevee, where you have to surf through 57 channels to figure out there's nothing on worth watching; there is always something on youtube etc. worth wasting time on
  9. me either people still watch tee vee ?
  10. The "media" know what (too many) people want to see and hear, so that's what we get. Informed / entertained; does it matter which ? Profit is the goal.

  12. Damn, there's only 2080 hours in an entire work year. 750 hours is more than 90 days. I'm not allowed to carry more than 20 days of PTO before I lose it.
  13. being a govt employee in a pinko commie state has advantages
  14. Damn, I got 3 weeks total for 3 kids.

  16. Just dropped some fert for the lawn flowers, come on rain !
  17. turned out quite nice in the lower reaches of the happy valley, I washed my antique Honda. Cleaned up quite nicely:
  18. The early season lawn flowers are now in bloom !! A few photos for all to enjoy:
  19. ever take the ferry ? a few bucks more but much less stress
  20. Leaving my irrigation system in winter mode for now wish I dropped fert yesterday, last nights rain was good
  21. i'm with kev on this, you don't want to rely on irrigation to get the fert into the soil - you want actual rain, more than a 1/4 inch. that's a lot of water, and relying on a well in a steiny pattern is risky
