  1. It's also further north and west with the low than the GFS, just like Euro and Ukie. I think NYC metro and Long island are going to see a cold rain unfortunately. I may see a few inches but it won't be all snow even by me 20 miles north of 84.
  2. It's going to be precarious even for us I84 peeps. Elevation and precip intensity will certainly help overcome marginal temps but its going to be close for us in the valley.
  3. Who cares? The operational GFS beyond 5 days is as useless as t!ts on a bull.
  4. I like a cmc/Euro/ukie blend. The GFS is out to lunch and is once again playing catch up. Right now not enough cold air for large portions of the forum. ATM it looks like you have to be north of 84 for a chance of accumulating snow.
  5. Oh I know, we have had some great winters when that has happened. monthlyseasonalsnowfall.pdf
  6. What I'm saying is people should not be throwing in the towel on winter in December. Same cast of characters do the same thing every year when the next 10 days don't look so hot. We already had 1 significant event for most of the tri-state when some were calling winter over on Dec 4th. Comical. Plenty of winter to go.
  7. Tricky rain/snow lines are a part of many storms in this area. A lot of places just north and west of NYC got a foot or more. My point stands. You cant throw in the towel in early December or late December for that matter. Same posters do it all the time. Yawn.
  8. Funny how certain people are throwing in the towel again. Blah blah blah. Central park stands at 10.5( I got 16) and same prognosticators were throwing in the towel in early December, lol. Still a long way to go.
  9. 50 with light S wind. NWS only calling for 15-25 with gusts to 40-45 by me. Walt, do think with southerly component of wind that funneling in Hudson valley would increase winds slightly in mid HV?
  10. Me too. We still have alot of snow OTG and then add warm temps and 2 inches of rain. Yikes.
  11. It's more about todays artists. You just mentioned talented and influential artists like Jeff Lynne, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Neil Young. Lets not compare Post Malone, Dababy, and The Weeknd with that extremely talented group. Oh and I don't like rap. Lets see if in 10 years anybody remembers the latter group let alone 50.
  12. 31 and cloudy. Had some holiday mood flakes earlier. Hope Santa puts the convertible top on the sled for the Christmas eve rainstorm.
  13. Agreed. A lot of it has to do with just not hearing music from 60's/70's/80's. If you are just fed today's "music" that's basically all you know. I have seen that younger people who have listened to music from the past actually appreciate it. I find it funny how many kids really like "immigrant song" from Zeppelin because of Thor and "wayward son" from Kansas because of Supernatural. The latest "dreams" video on tiktok that went viral is another example. There is hope.
  14. Ya mean that Post Malone, the Weeknd, and Dababy arent as talented and influential as the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd or Queen? Go figure.
  15. Dude you are entitled to your opinion but I stand by my comment. The amazing talent of the bands and artists that I and others mentioned is far superior than the auto-tune garbage of many "artists" of today.
  16. Your kids are smart. I grew up with The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Stones, the Who, Peter Frampton, Van Halen, etc... Todays music just doesn't compare.
