  1. It’s time for green gas, cold beer, baseball, grilling and pool time. This weekend the clock marches forward. The sun is at the angle that never pleases us snow lovers. It is time for warmth. Down here in Richmond, it was underwhelming incredibly but at least we got above our recent average. Maybe you guys up North a bit can lock one more minimal event again but it’s time for late days and GRILLING! Oh and of course March Madness. GO J-M-U Duuuuuuuuuuuuuukes (doubtful we get in but hopeful).
  2. It’s over gentlemen. I’m glad we got what we got but in retrospect it was incredibly underwhelming. The last system gave me around. 3-3.5” and it melted within 12-16 hours. It was like it didn’t happen. Incredible it snowed for essentially 14 hours and it was barely anything. It was around 25 degrees all day and even the roads melted at 8 am. Guess it’s the normal in Virginia now. I’ll be in Tampa this time next year. I hope you guys rock on and get pounded by a HECS next year, I’ll be rooting for you. Thank you all who have been here and interchanged thoughts and feelings. Miss you, RVA!
  3. Sounds like some people here need to join Reddit, sounds like a safe place for them.
  4. That's usually how it goes. Maybe I'll get lucky when visiting family for Christmas.
  5. This was looking like a real crap shoot at 3-4pm today. Seeing that backfill followed by bands of heavy snow for 3 hours just made me so happy, especially knowing this is likely my last snow storm in VA. I admired every single second of this event. Crazy to think it snowed for 12 hours and we only ended up with 3-5 inches board wide in the metro region. This was really fun at the end. Thank you guys for sharing this time with me.
  6. You should make it to 4. You’ll be one of the last in the area to see the last few flakes. Enjoy.
  7. Yep. Everywhere around here besides maybe Bon Air is getting absolutely dumped on. We needed this. The roads are perfect. Honestly I’m glad it held off until night time because the sun setting is helping tremendously with accumulations.
  8. About 4 miles east of ya, it is absolutely ripping harder than Cheech and Chong and Willie Nelson all combined.
  9. I came back to say fuck yeah to this backend filling. Another hour or two of moderate to heavy snow. Completely unexpected after we all thought it was about to close curtains. Fuck yeah! Heaviest snow I’ve seen all day right now. I have 1.5 inches on the road and 3.6 on the ground in Western Henrico. I expect to get to 4 or 4.25 - 4.5. My 3-5 last call is being verified. Thank you snow gods. Thank you.
  10. @RIC Airport thank you for everything you have done. My time is done here. All of you take care. Adios!
  11. Anyway, I'm logging off to enjoy the last hour of snowfall before it goes away. It was fun (ish) everyone. Go make a snow angel, at least we can do that. Til' next time, if there is one. If this was the last snow event this winter, I appreciate each and every one of you and hope you guys score big time next winter. I'll be in Florida permanently. I'll miss this hobby. See ya!
  12. DT may have rolled with the NAM and SREF but by the time he put out his 6pm (7:30 pm) last call the short-range NAM and SREFs had already determined our fate. I cannot stick up for that man, he purposely put out maps for monetary value.
  13. Ain’t happening man, sadly. As soon as these bands from the west come through it’s all over. I have zero confidence in that ULL tomorrow as well. Can’t win them all, or any for that matter in Richmond. I’ll be in Tampa this time next year, was hoping for something decent.
  14. 2 inches here in Henrico. Damnit man I should’ve kept my 1-2 gut feeling final call. I told @RIC Airport yesterday I think 1-2 is the high end of this system but kept my word with the 3-5. The latest HRRR has this ending within the next hour. Shows over for us up this way folks.
  15. Yeah, no one down there can really say "we deserve it" when they more often than not get bigger snows than RVA.
  16. Yes, I meant East. This will be over shortly, sadly.
  17. Back end pushing West rapidly, will be over by 5pm.
  18. Rapidly coming to an end out west. I stand by my 3:30 comment. Sorry gents, even the short range models failed us yesterday. I hope everyone enjoys / enjoyed the snow falling around here in Richmond. Those of you SE, enjoy and send measurements.
  19. About 2-3 miles N of you. Looks like sand falling here lol.
  20. Blaming it on "model glitches" while he knew the entire time it was all bullshit that he was posting. He needs to have his page taken down.
