I'm thinking tomorrow may not be worth the trip to Killington. If I knew it would ski like a nice spring day, I'd go, but I'm thinking rainy, windy, foggy, drizzly with sticky snow. I don't mind getting a little wet, but tomorrow looks pretty nasty. Thoughts?

That sounds so cool! I agree that some areas might see more snow fall for a while but I think the pack will suffer with more rain and warm temps too. Sad. .

Thinking of going to Killington our Pico Saturday. They got lots of snow this week and seemed to get the upslope bullseye. Killington is about 90% open and Pico 100%. Worried about rain and fog. Also worried that snow might be wet and sticky. Seems like when it’s powdery and then gets warm, the snow can be weird. Needs a few freezes and thaws to turn into nice corn. .

Great pics!! It’s amazing how a good skier and photographer can make any powder look super deep. .

I agree. More moisture should lead to more frequent bigger snow events, however I feel like the increased warmth is like a ticking time bomb. Eventually, it’ll be too warm to maintain decent snow pack in lots of places. .

Gore was ok today. Very windy and cold. 4” of powder but lots of ice. Still a good day. Some nice packed powder where the wind didn’t scrape it off. .

Mt. Snow was nice but pretty firm today. Shame the rain firmed up the snow so much. Bagged 21,000 vertical under bluebird conditions. Thinking the next rain is gonna make things worse. Shame!!! .

Can anybody update how conditions are? Is the ice from the double rainers still rearing it’s ugly head? .

We went to Windham to use our Warren miller Ski Film Coupon. Got 23,000 ft. vertical with the lack of lines and the super fast new 6 pack. I now have a wallet with all of my RFID cards that i keep in my boot bag lol. Everyone seems to be starting to use them. My Mt. Bachelor card for February is already loaded and ready to go. I can just go right to the lifts. They seem to help lines move fast too. I personally love them. I've gotta get back to Platty. The drive is intimidating from here lol. I think you have to take like 30 turns to get there. Thank you google maps!!

Windham was awesome today. Lots of soft natural snow bumps. Still some powder stashes left from the big storm. Almost fully open. Hardly anyone there. .

Cool! Might go to Mt. Snow this weekend. .

My niece went to Gore with a friend. I decided to stay home. She said there were some good spots and some really icy spots. I'm a diva skier. Only good conditions for these slightly old bones.

I'm guessing that skiing on Friday will be pretty rough. I usually go every black Friday, but after this rainy mild up followed by cold, I'm imagining it will be pretty icy. I figure it will take a few days to resurface all of the open trails. I wonder if it will be better by Saturday. Maybe I'll go Sunday and try to score some freshies. Or if there is a snow day Monday, i'll hit that if the storm pulls through and the driving isn't too bad? Thoughts?

Holy crap! I like the part where you got better fast lol. Lingering injuries suck. They do say the last run of the day OSs the most dangerous. I guess we both support that theory. .

Best of luck with your recovery! That sucks, but next season will come quicker than you think. It’s hard to tone it down lol. I’m 52 and was hitting the bumps and jumps like a kid yesterday at Killington. Took that one extra run and hit that last jump and next thing I I know I’m slamming into the ground into my right shoulder. Super sore today. I’m hoping I didn’t damage anything. I get over excited and forget to take it easy lol. .

Killington was a blast today. Top to bottom. 10 trails. Good snow!! Light mood flakes all day!! .

I’ve never skied New Hampshire or Maine. Gotta get over there. Vermont keeps getting in the way. .
