I graduated from SUNY Albany with a BS in Atmospheric Science in 1989. Next cam 1 year of grad school in Atmospheric Science until I decided that my calling was to teach 9th graders I then got my masters in teaching and have been teaching Earth Science, Meteorology and Physics ever since. I taught for 2 years at Albany Academy for Girls, and 30 years at Voorheesville High School. I have taught ATM 100N through SUNYA's University in the High School program for several years.  I retired from teaching in June 2024  my wife and I just opened a chocolate gift and coffee shop in Valatie, NY.   

I live in East Schodack, NY (mailing address castleton-on-Hudson) in an 1824 farmhouse with my wife of 33years (Amy).  I have 2 kids (Abby - 25, and Ben - 28).  I love to ski, snowshoe, hike, paddle, backpack and play the guitar.
