  1. Winter doesn’t even start until Dec 21
  2. LWM 18f at midnight while BED is 8f. I have a hard time buying that. https://forecast.weather.gov/obslocal.php?warnzone=MAZ005&local_place=Wilmington MA&zoneid=EST&offset=18000
  3. I wouldn't be surprised looking at radar upstream. Should be good for at least another inch I'd say.
  4. That band of snow extends from east of CAR into Canada all the way through ME, NH, coastal plain of MA out to ACK. https://www.wunderground.com/maps/radar/current/bml
  5. I'm right on the fringe and it's coming down real nice. Should pick up even more shortly.
  6. Still coming down at a good clip in North Andover. Probably the best its come down in round 2 as the WW warning expires Does LWM not report snow totals?
  7. 48" according to wiki but kinda hard to verify that so maybe they aren't including it. I love the mention of 50ft snowdrifts in the article haha. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Blizzard_of_1888 Edit: Ya only including December but I'm keeping the link cus
  8. Wonder what Albany ends up with as a total. I could see them getting 20-24 based on radar trends. Crush job for them.
  9. 3k NAM gives me like 8-11 inches more lol. All the good banding has been north and west of me for round 2 but hoping it collapses east with good rates for a while.
  10. Lol I’ll take the front thump we got here in NE mass. CT got hosed on this storm.
  11. I’m In North Andover about .5 miles from LWM and it’s 33.3f here. Crazy that you are 3 degrees colder then me prob 5 miles away as the crow flies.
  12. Absolutely ripping out now. Patriots laying a turd is putting a damper on me enjoying this storm though.
  13. Someone is having fun with mPing. Can see where the rain snow line sets up nicely.
  14. It’s really not snowing that hard here but still seems to be adding up quick. Pretty good ratio stuff up my way. Was playing with the dog outside and wasn’t easy to make snowballs for her to catch.
  15. Snow rates really dropped off here. Expecting a lull then things to really pick up in about 2 hours. Eyeballing about 2 inches.
  16. Looks good Interior Essex county through northern Middlesex should jack with this one.
  17. .25" sitting at 28.9f and moderate snow, starting to add up nicely.
  18. Feeling good about my spot in the Merrimack Valley for this one
  19. Radars evolving nicely for this front end thump. Surprised I'm forecast to get 12 inches here starting in a few hours but am still under a WWA. Guess it's a duration thing but can't say I've ever seen that before. Got to run to the store though, moved this summer and realizing I have no idea were my snow brushes are for the cars.
  20. And people here were complaining about heated walkways at ski areas...imagine they started clearing the parking lots with this thing. Anyways our eventual system is impressive on the west coast, not every day you see a 974mb pressure in OR in November. https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mesowest/timeseries.php?sid=K4S1&num=72&banner=gmap&raw=0&w=325
  21. Believe what you want but the statistics don't back it up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_wave#Mortality https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/2019/07/26/europes-killer-heat-waves-are-new-norm-death-rates-shouldnt-be/
  22. Not to mention with the improved lead time and warnings we have now it thankfully makes it harder to obtain a fatality toll like 78. Heat definitely kills more, but it's a lot harder to put a number on it.
  23. At least NWS Nashville is having fun with the upcoming cold pattern. The units of panic is a nice touch.
