  1. pretty nice 0z suite so far. slow movers.
  2. Omega block is synonymous with banana block?
  3. Closes off and shunts east. No members with lows above 39 degrees north.
  4. I read your post from earlier, but are you actually optimistic?
  5. I feel like we need this storm to come at least to 39 degrees north before shunting east in order for us to get a SECS.
  6. Just a gorgeous evolution for the mid-Atlantic on the 18z. TPV doing its negative interference thing, but maybe we can shunt that a little west and this evolves differently.
  7. Yeah, excuse my weenie goggles. Just a frustrating pattern.
  8. Yeah, this is a mid-Atlantic special cut from the cloth of 1979 and the 1980s and 2000s, not the 2016s and 2010s. I should really learn though, that whenever we have these -5 sd AOs, the mid-Atlantic bears the brunt of the Archambault event.
  9. This is a legit big kahuna for them... makes me insane. No measurable since mid-December, but now Baltimore gets a foot? Unreal
  10. This seems like a mid-atlantic special, with the ridge axis over the plains. Trying to not be looped in by the select few GEFS members which bring major amounts to SNE
  11. Is it the blue one with the title in huge print "1888"? I think I borrowed that one from the library as a 7-yr-old weenie.
  12. If the mid-atlantic gets a MECS while I haven't accumulated since December, I'm gonna lose my ****.
  13. Is there some index which measures the global strength of gradients, in whatever units or terms make sense to accommodate that idea? Or is that just basically AAM already?
  14. You'd think that with this pattern would yield one nice event. Almost ideal block placement and strong Alaskan ridge. \
  15. That that was weird. It looked like the maybe the antecedent ridge was more stout, which sent it a little further north.
  16. Let's see if this band fizzles at it reaches my area like all the summer storms do
  17. that's about exactly what the GGEM shows
  18. I know p's can look like D's sometimes, especially if one is distracted by the very real prospect of 4" of snow cover by this Saturday
  19. Both of you have a way with words, but Tip is at another level entirely. Recently it seems that everyone on this forum has written a novel, although maybe its just James and Tip
