  1. I wish I could give a pep talk to these route 2 drenchas. Go go go!!
  2. " The KENX VWP depicts around 40-50 kt of 0-6 km unidirectional bulk shear oriented oblique to the band of convection, which should continue to support deep/persistent updrafts embedded in the line. " Eh. No expectations but it would be cool
  3. Good shear and good instability out ahead of these storms (that actually exist and are strengthening). Yippee
  4. I think it's gotta be exhaust from storms to our south. Is there a summer equivalent of conditional symmetricl instability?
  5. Propagating cold front in NY state and Supercell composite values 4-8+ over SNE = failed severe day?
  6. Speaking of lapse rates, they look pretty good on the 3km
  7. Weird to me that ORH barely sneaks into the 90s when BOS hits 100. Is this common?
  8. Gotcha. But isn't it the case that if a parcel is saturated, it falls in temperature more slowly, thus increasing difference in temp of parcel and ambient atmosphere?
  9. Either way though we're dealing with high dews though right? In my understanding that should increase the floor for ML instability
  10. I didn't notice the pollen at all driving down to Canton today for what it's worth
  11. Ready for full spring, keep the hour 180 threats away please
  12. IDK if you'd consider Cambridge meaningfully north of the pike, but we're having pingers now, I believe (we definitely were an hour ago)
  13. I think we should just take a moment to recognize how miraculous this all is. The snow is just so beautiful. Another stunning natural event for all of us to enjoy!
  14. Gotta be around 6-7" inches here, intensity has lessened a bit
  15. https://photos.app.goo.gl/EUKz2gPsX3ro8DDV6 Harvard square about an hour ago. It's just ripping out here
  16. Yeah, I've said on here a bunch of times that these are my favorite kind of events, down to even the timing. I love a good predawn start and AM thump of wet WAA snow, 6-10". Low stress and high enjoyment. Hopefully I can get out of my russian lit section on Friday at 10 am LOL
